Your first Spyderco and what you own now?

First I ordered was a comboedge delica in stainless (it was a deal). Anyways, before it came I got a spyderco jester--my first spyderco. Still have it on my keys.

So I got:
Jester (key chain knife)
Stainless ce delica (gifted to my brother)
zdp-189 delica (gifted to a good friend--she loves the thing)
Caly 3--had some blade play, gave it to my Mom (she adores it and my dad is jealous :D)
Lava-have it but dont use
Delica wave--been trying to sell this one, wave isnt for me
Para--In my 3 knife edc rotation
g10 endura--great knife, but decided to give it to my dad for xmas this year


Yeah, I have gone through quite a few spyders but the para is here to stay for me. I have been very picky on knives and have been slimming down my collection heavily. Down to under 10 knives now=P
 
I think my first Spydie was my blue VG-10 Delica 4 (previous owner bladeswap). I'm going to sell it soon. Right now, I have:

Been a long day. :yawn: I'm sure I'm missing some from both lists. Especially the latter.

Before too long, I'd like to pick up a FFG Endura, a sprint Meerkat, some kind of yellow Salt, and maybe a Cento3 or Cento4. Looking forward to he ambi potential of the new Para2.

And of course, I'm always looking for a burgundy Caly Jr.
 
My first Spyderco was a stainless steel Native that I bought in 2005. I saw it on eBay and liked the style. The etching with the Spyderco logo and web on the handle was interesting too only to find out it was a rare piece. I still have it today and that knife led me to purchase other Spydercos and years later it's the only brand of knife I collect.

My first was a Dialex Adventura, with a story. We were having a birthday party for my son and one of the dads pulled this knife out to assist opening a gift. I was taken in and inquired about the knife. He recognized my enthusiasm and immediately gifted the knife to me, stating that he was a dealer and could get more.

I was taken back by the gesture and vowed to buy some knives from him...I have always instinctively bought knives, carried them for some time then buy another. I never realized that I was not alone in this world as an addict, until I discovered you guys on this forum!

Now I am carrying a PE Para that I bought from him, and I have a mil on order.

This addiction is getting expensive, but I love it!

I may have a display case made for my Spydercos at some point.

My first Spyderco was a Native in s30v via walmart. My second was a Caly 3 G10, and I have a CAT on its way to me now.

DH started with a Native also, just like mine, then got a Endura waved, and a Delica waved, then a Tenacious, and now carries a Manix2.
 
1st - Endura 3rd Gen. but gave it to my dad some years back.

2nd - SWICK 1st Gen. as my JICK (Just In Case Knife for Self Desfense)
 
Started with an FRN AUS-8A Dragonfly. Still biting me after all those years...

Now I have seven Millies, four Paras, two Calys, two Enduras, a Delica, a UKPK and a Tasman Salt.

Whishing for more Millies (never enough of those), a Chokwe, and probably a few others...

When I saw the Sage CF, I decided that it looked like a nice design, functional for my needs, and good quality. For years I've heard people singing the praises of the Spydercos. So I start pricing the CF Sages on line. I can only blame AG Russell for what happened next. The price from AG was significantly lower than a few other places I shop at. So i was able to order my Sage and a Tenacious and a Bug for what I would have spent at another site (which has good prices). My first one was three. Thank you very much AG!

They are all great knives. No regrets. Now I understand the "hype" about Spyderco knives.

I have replaced the G10 scales of my Tenacious with some bamboo scales to give it a little more girth. The handle felt under sized for that size blade. As a side note, the knife makes a significantly louder click with the wood scales.

Then I added a small clip to the Bug so it can be clipped to a watch band for carry. I usually have the Bug tethered to my cell phone as phunctional cell phone bling:D.

I started out with a Ladybug on eBay that was sold as a Delica. Moved on to a real Delica with the molded clip, then an Endura 3. I've had lots of Delicas and Enduras, different steels and series and handles. I really like the Endura, but always seem to give/sell/trade mine away. Right now, I am sort of looking for an Endura 4 with green FRN and ZDP189.

I've had four Militaries. 440V SE, black S30 CE, Military stamped S30V PE, and now a Spyderco logo stamped S30V PE model. I'd like to get a BG42 CF PE model.

Natives are my other Spyderco passion. I've had the black bladed version, the regular edition, the Native II SS version, the Native III. I traded for the 4 CF and III at a local knife shop, and I'm getting a Krein reground model I in a trade.

I've had lots of other models. I can't even begin to remember. A standout was the Jess Horn FRN. I liked the Manix.


Right now, my favorite is the Bob T Slipit, it has been my EDC for several months.

I currently have the Native CF, Native III, an older Jess Horn FRN, Military, Bob T Slipit and an older Spyderco kitchen knife, no idea what the model is. I've been contemplating the Rock Lobster, Leaf Storm and Aqua Salt.

I started with a waved endura 4 spyderedge. Then i bought a waved delica 4 from a friend and next im going to purchase a plain edge native 3 :D
 
First was the Native 1, I ordered it though, didn't get it from Wal Mart. Didn't know you could, in fact. As much as I love Spydies I don't have much of a collection, however they get the job done very well. In order

Not sure what's next, I'm in no real rush since even using the 3 folders as EDCs seems like more than enough for me. Though I am on the list for the m4 Military. I might snatch up something in H1 before that comes out, or possibly the native 4, since that's discontinued.

My first Spyderco was in 2008...Heard it on an EDC forum and decided to look them up...Got a native3 for about $40...Then had it stolen...Went without for a few more months...then got a Endura4 w/ the white sprint run in January...And last month got a Cento 4 and now I bought a Caly3 this month. :)
 
My first was a Delica SE back in 98' I think (third from the bottom in the middle).

Since then I got some more :)

My first Spyderco was a Paramilitary, I got then a G10 Delica and finally a Military and a G10 Endura. I still have them and I use them all, great knives.

I started my relationship with Spyderco in August of 1990, when I bought seven PE Delicas for myself and my groomsmen for my wedding. I carried that Delica every day for over ten years. I even had it on a plane a number of times back in the pre-9/11 days. Since then, several dozen Spydies have come and gone. My favorite EDC is a LH PE SS Police, modified by Tom Krein and STR.

I'm not sure how many Spydies are in the knife drawer as I type this, but it's over twenty. That Police model has the most pocket time, along with its partner, a waved, PE, tip-up version of same for SD.
