Your first Spyderco and what you own now?

My first Spyderco was an FRN Endura 1 back in the mid '90s

My current collection is
FRN Endura 1 (still have it)
Kopa black quince (carry it around sheeple)
Delica FFG with G10 scales
Delica wave (carry on walks or in urban areas)
Sage

Sharpmaker

My most tragic loss was a black Lum Chinese Folder. I replaced it with the Sage and that has been my EDC since.

Thanks
Jamie

my 1st was a pacific salt that is still one of my regular edc's only now looks like this:

My first one was a Native bought for a ridiculous price through an Aussie retail store. I now buy direct from the USA, the new ones thru Tom Berry at Spydercovt all the rest from the Knife Center or NGK.

I now own around 160-170 with another half dozen or so about to head my way.

No I am NOT addicted..............:D

Regards,

BRIAN

Yup. Started with an AUS-8 FRN Delica back in the mid-90s, now up to 180 not counting what's in the mail. :D

My first was a Endura IV.
Now I have got a D'allara and Manix 2 154 CM

I'm going to buy some old stuff ,maybe first edition of Milli, Chinook I or Terzuola
I'm crazy about old, discontued knives :)
If i were a rich man...

My first Spyderco was the D2 Para. I learned my first major lesson with that knife: never buy an unknown knife without first handling it. The Para never fit my hands right and I tried modifying the handle via belt sander but never got it quite right. It's been unhappily relegated to beater/glovebox knife. My only other Spyderco is the Spyderhawk I just got myself for Christmas. This is my first Hawkbill blade and I love it. I handled an Endura which felt good in-hand and the Spyderhawk's handle looked the same so I bought one. Love it. I'm also finding an new appreciation for quality lockbacks. I'm thinking of picking up either an Endura (wish the blade was shorter) or a Delica now but I'll wait for the FFG models to appear. I always knew Spyderco built quality knives and now I can say it with experience.:thumbup: :)

My first Spyderco was a Tenacious, followed by a few more and a week ago I finally bought my first "real" Spyderco when the prices on the Endura 4 G10s dropped to $66.99 shipped. Its now my favorite knife I own. Period.

I didn't like the way Spyderco knives looked, but a local gun shop was selling off their old stock and I bought a Viele and a Walker (still don't love most of them aesthetically, but can't complain about quality and performance!). I started carrying them and using them a lot, next came a Paramilitary, Endura 3, Native III, Centofante 3; which were quickly followed by a few dozen more.

I still don't find them pretty (with the exception of the small Persian and the Loom Chinese folder), but they are just awesome tools.

I started with a Spyderco Delica 4 that I bought four years ago in Montana. Since then I have accumulated and used all of these:

a Delica 4 SE
a Delica 4 Wave
a Black G-10 Dodo SE
a Pacific Salt
a Dragonfly SS
a Dragonfly PE Zytel
a pair of Ladybug's
a Rescue
a Fred Perrin Street Beat
a Wharny Urban
and a Salt 1

That makes....... 13. If I have my way, a couple more will find there way to me soon enough. :D

My first Spydie was a Millie. I've owned about 40 since then. Most have been sold, some lost or stolen. Now I have:

Etched Spin
Delica 4 PE
Delica 4 SE Foliage Green
Delica 4 PE Waved
UKPK Orange
Stretch ZDP Blue FRN

My first Spyderco was a two screw worker from way back when. Bought it at the San Diego County Fair from Golden Promotions who put on a pretty good booth show with the Sharpmaker. The latest is the Sage2 RIL Ti.

my 1st spyderco is a Caly3 CF that i just got last week. i can see why you guys love them. it won't be my last either.

happy new year all.

My 1st Spyderco was a Delica, sold to me by N.W. Safari. N.W. sold a modified / "converted" version of the Delica at that time with a clip added to the left side for left handed carry. This was back when the Delica was right handed only with the integral clip. The "converted" ones were PlainEdge and engraved with "N.W. Safari" on the blades. This enabled carrying of a PlainEdge on the left and a SpyderEdge on the right.

Current count is 168 of various models and variations (plus 6 more in route). And, yes, I still have the first ones.

I started out with a Q I think back in 96 is when they came out. I now have 10 Spydercos and these two are my favorites....

Picked up my first Spyderco at B&B Guns (same store from the Bank shootout) in CA back when they were a "new " knife company. Bought a gen 1 Endura (Gin1 steel) and ladybug. I have consistently purchased over the years. I have owned all the major manufacturers. I've never had a Spyderco fail. Even the diminutive Bob T jr has never failed. Carried Spyderco undercover and later as a defensive knife instructor and SWAT.
Don't have any Spydercos I don't like.
Favorite designers are Eric, ED Schemp, and CLB.
Next Spydie will be Manix 2, Military 2, and ParaMilitary 2.

First was a SS handle Worker ~ Carried it for years/Still have it.

Now EDC a PE FRN Native. :D
