Your knife clipped to pocket ever fall out?

never lost a knife that was clipped to my pocket, but back when we had our van, I was getting out of the back seat, and the side of the seat (the plastic piece that connected the bottom and back of the seat) caught the clip, and being it was a(n assisted) "waved" knife, also opened the blade.

but, nobody was hurt or anything. I felt, and heard it happen.

My brother just lost a Delica I purchased for him back in 98'. He replaced it with a Co-Pilot I bought for him a few years back, after he lost the Delica the first time and then found it later. He says the clip of the Co-Pilot is tight.

The only knife I ever lost was a Cold Steel Urban Pal that was pushed out of its crappy sheath when I was wearing it as a neck knife and carried in groceries.

When I first started carrying a knife clipped to my pocket about 4-5 years ago I used to carry it in the same pocket as my wallet. One time I reached into my pocket to pull out my wallet and the wallet pushed the knife out. It was an AO and the fall caused the knife to spring open. A guy nearby yelled "Whoah!" I just put it back like nothing happened.

Nope, but I used to carry my Delica clipped to my right back pocket until the clip caught on something (still don't know what) and twisted out of shape. Now I either carry my knives in my pocket or clipped to my right side pocket. BTW I sometimes carry my Vantage Pro clipped to my shirt pocket, it carries so deep and the clip looks like a pen clip, never gets a second glance at work.

Two come to mind.

The smooth clip on the Kershaw leek has slipped out of my uniform pockets time and again. Now it gets sheathed unless I'm wearing jeans.

The clip on my Buck Bantam has worn a little loose over time (two years now). I was walking by a Colonel and it just fell out and clacked on the floor. Everyone stops dead like they're afraid. So, I calmly walk over, pick it up, put it back in my pocket and walk away. The colonel didn't say nothing, just stared. Strange huh? You would think it would be expected for military to carry some sort of utility knife, and many do, but not as many as you would think.

I had a spyderco police fall out of my pocket at a concert. when i went back to look it had been taken. It was a small room too, so...

No, never. I do periodic hand pats to check my steel package's state of affairs. It's become second nature over the years to check after prolonged sitting to a standing position or in and out of the car etc. - Places where my position compromises the blade's secure clippage. :D

My Buck Vantage Pro does when I am in the car quite often. Haven't lost one that way yet. I have found many other ways to lose them....

I've only ever lost a buck 110 about 12 years ago. My dad gave it to me so it pissed me off that it was gone. I didn't have the sheath for it so I used to keep it in that little change pocket that all jeans seem to have, it was too heavy to keep in my pocket.
One day after work it was gone. Looked arround but no luck.

Lost a three month old Cabela's Mini-Grip riding my bicycle. The pants material is very thin so that might have been the problem. Went back to the trail and looked high and low to no avail. I just hope a knife person found it.

I lost a Spyderco Endura that was clipped to the waistband of my Carhartt's while cutting and loading firewood. And a Leatherman Juice in the clip on sheath while fishing, but I found that one.

Ive been lucky and never had one fall out anywhere that I could not find it. My min rukus was pulled out by brushing against a door jam. And somtimes knive catch on blankest, or fall out in a sleeping bag but I've always either felt them fall out or found them soon after. I did however loose a boker trapper that was loose in my pocket and now I use pocket clips on every knife but traditional knives.

Not lost but a lot of un-clipping happens getting in or out of vehicles with the clip catching on stuff. To add , I've never had a slipjoint make it's way out of my pocket while I'm wearing my pants.

Twice. One was a super cheap balisong with a pot metal clip that bent out of shape the first time I carried it, silly me. The other was a Benchmade Pika II with stripped pocket clip screws from trying to swap it for lefty carry >:(

I've had my leatherman e33B (i know it's cheap, but I like it) clip catch on my work shirt a few times. Luckily I feel it most of the time, but I have dropped it a few times. :(

I had a damascus kershaw chive that my gf gave me for my birthday a few years back, she had it engraved and everything. I carried it everywhere and had it clipped in my right change pocket. One day I went to the gym and lost it in the change room, didnt even realize it was gone until I got home, never found it. I always check for my knife before leaving any vehicle or building these days.

Yep..lost a large regular sebenza around 2001.. I think I tore apart my house 3x looking for it..But alas, I think I lost it at a gas station when I was on vacation. :(
