Your knife collection size

I currently have 17 pocket knives my only fixed blades are kitchen knives and they are currently cheap junk. The majority are users and a few are beaters with a select few that are neither.

40 or 50 between folders and fixed have never counted

Interesting question probably should count

Knives are like bullets, if you know how many you have................you don't have enough.

Ha!
The amount I have has been going down for the past few years. Though the combined cost of them has more than likely gone up. I'm wondering how that happened. Not completely sure if I want to know the exact number of either. There are just so many great knives out there. In a few more years though, my sons will have most of my knives and I'll be down to just a few I won't want to let go of.

Hi all, my current count is 31 folding/pocket knives, 21 fixed blades, 4 machetes, 3 ornamentals, and 2 swords. Most of these are usable tools and not collectibles. Thanks for your time, Trevor Calhoun.

Total = 45. The number includes everything in the picture plus:
-Massdrop Gent (inbound)
-Vintage Gerber (stays in my work pocket 24/7)
-A cheep souvenir folder with immense sentimental value

A couple of the knives pictured are earmarked for gifting purposes....someday. ;)

Not included in my count are a couple of dive knives, cheep toolbox knives, and our crappy kitchen knives.

481 with 4 in the works. I'm actually ashamed because I've been saying for a while now that I have a collection of over 500 and I just checked my spreadsheet and I'm a little short.

We all know what that means...

I'm surprised we haven't seen more big numbers. Either people with really big collections don't know how many they actually have, or just don't want to say?

We have a lot of the same knives. And a few I wish I had lol

I've got more than 20 but less than 30. I try to have a one-in/one-out policy for my own sanity.

I don't care enough to even count them.... So, how can "I say"? If you like knives, buy new stuff on a regular basis, have been in the game for a number of years and don't sell them, you likely own more knives than you can use in a lifetime, probably several lifetimes.

Only sold one myself
I would think most are as you described around here anyway.

About 100. That number hasn't grown in a long time. I've shuffled things around. I don't want to perpetually grow the collection.
I guess you could say I've been collecting since I was a kid so call it 25 years.

I have 3 which includes 1 multi-tool. I don’t see myself ever having a large collection. Instead, I’d prefer to have just 2-3 really nice knives.

That depends on what you call "really nice knives". I think Benchmades and Spydercos are really nice. Before I got into buying knives just because I wanted them, I had about 5 knives and I functioned just fine.

A dozen. 5 years in the game. Bought and sold dozens more. 20180319_214628-1330x2365.jpg
I tend to gravitate around this number.
