Your Knife For Social Gatherings ?

Whenever I'm in the company of easily spooked people, the "socially acceptable" knife I carry is a Case amber bone mini trapper. People feel warm and cuddly when they see it.

For formal occasions, I go with my WE 606cfa. Its also light enough for slacks.

Lol, that is the ultra high fashion distressed denim look.
Don't laugh Lapedog, I was at the mall last week and I notice that they stuck a Salvation Army store in the High end clothing section and a rack of ripped /torn jeans were displayed in the window. Turns out it wasn't a Salvation Army it was a store that only sold "Distressed" jeans for big money and not jeans with little razors cut or frayed pockets but jeans with full blow out knees and holes. After seeing the price they were getting for them I figured I must have thrown out about $700 dollars worth of them when I cleaned out my closet last spring. When I was telling wifey the story at dinner she laughed and told me that my youngest son bought a pair with his own money, $100 bucks:eek:.

Dam I need to put my work pants up for sale. 50 dollar levis turn to 150 atleast. The old starter jackets are coming back and vintage ones Costa about 60 to 100. I remember they where like 20 at walmart.

@ Charlie, given I was dragged out to a social event and looking like that you'd be the one guy I'd actually feel comfortable having a beer with and shooting the shit.
---

I'll probably just have my A-100. If I'm wearing a suit I'll Mexican Carry it on my waist band behind my belt so it won't wear out my pocket, or be seen.

I heard of Mexican carry a gun but never a knife. Usually a gun wouldn't be in a holster and carried iwb. So a folding knife iwb is Mexican carry?

For sh_ts and giggles I just looked up looked up a pair of Vintage Vans checkered high top skate shoes I had from the 80's and someone is selling a pair for OVER $900 bucks on FleaBay! Now that has my attention, mine are in better shape. Tiger eye Sabenza here I come:cool::thumbsup:

I try to avoid formal... but when it's necessary, I generally carry a GEC 62 Half Congress in birdseye maple or GEC 77 in smooth autumn bone. (Odds are pretty good that I'll also have a Protech Newport with CF inserts)

I was thinking the same thing. It’s the ones in suits that I avoid.

To the op’s question. I have a pakkawood delica that is pretty classy. Anything with wood is a good go to.

Charlie, you and I are polar opposites. I try to be gray and blend in wherever I go. I try not to stick out.

I'm the "orange man" ... This means someone that people try not to pay attention to. Works. I was a professional shoplifter many years ago. Had a prop phone with a loud and offensive fake conversation. People made an effort not to look at me. Was very successful.

You could prolly start a thread based on your adventures. I'll bet you have plenty of incidents with the fake shoplifting gig. You're working with some disparate individuals.

You know, it takes a person with courage and a good heart to admit bad behavior from their past. I tip my hat to you sir.

As for the knives you carry, I can't picture myself at church with your set up but it would be fun just to see peoples reactions.
