Your knives got burglarized. Starting over...

Oh boy, that would be rough. I would likely have my Bad Monkey on me. To rebuild I would start with:

-Sog Arcitech (to replace the one I just got)
-Boker Epicenter (good heavy duty beater)
-TRC Knives TR12-S (for fixed edc)

That would get me started at least.
 
Well, it happened to me. I lost about 70 knives and a custom made display case. I vowed to not collect anymore junk and limit myself to only knives I actually had a need for. That's not to say I didn't end up with a few extra blades along the way :)

My knife that day was a Emerson CQC8 and my first purchase was a S90V Spyderco Military.
 
hmmmm...good question!

My EDC rotates between a few (mostly a 3" XM18, Small CRK Seb, or Emerson MiniA100)....so I'm going to assume I'm EDC'ing the XM18 because that's the one I'd be most pissed about losing and least financially equipped to replace right away....

I'd buy:

1. Emerson CQC7 variation - either a 7, 7v, or 7a - something to use and abuse
2. Strider - SNG most likely. I'd miss my PT but those aren't easy to find and replace.
3. CRK Sebenza - Small, Micarta, Insingo.
 
Out of the ones that I own that were theoretically stolen,,,

A ZT0200
A RAT1

Of the ones I don't own but would probably get in short order...
A good bushcraft fixed blade, a BK or a RAT
 
All I got on me at the moment is an LL Bean SAK.

The knives I would get to restart my collection would be:

1. Spyderco Manix 2 reground to FFG
2. Benchmade 530
3. Opinel No. 8

4" Stockman (either a Case, Buck, Queen, Schatt & Morgan, or perhaps a Boker

I was robbed this past summer and despite the electronics and jewelry taken, the greatest monetary loss came from my knife collection. Luckily for me, the nitwits had no idea what they were looking at and stole only the big scary fighting and combat knives and left behind all the damascus and ivory, etc. The loss was still in the thousands though and I could not make an insurance claim both because I had no proof of what was taken and because I had already made another claim earlier (camper that had been destroyed by a falling tree).

What did I replace? ... everything
 
Upon reading this thread, all of my knives were gathered up and piled beneath my chair. I will remain here now until the raven comes, for ever more, for ever more.

Well, I'm carrying my Southard so in reality I wouldn't need to replace it, but I'll assume it was gone too. The ones I'd have to have back would be:

BM 940
BM 710
Spyderco Southard
 
I'd be carrying my Gravitator with me so to rebuild,

1. Nothing
2. Nothing
3. Nothing

I'd take that as a sign to move foward and stop buying knives.
