Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I'm long overdue for posting this one. A few weeks ago sf fanatic sf fanatic messaged me saying he remembered I was looking for a Case Whaler. He very graciously sent me this pristine example! I do feel a bit guilty as I had found one but the covers was badly scratched, by the time I sanded (gently!!)out the scratches it no longer had anything left of the stamping on the covers.
Now I have a pristine example and a user I reckon👍 Few things I found interesting, both of the whalers are three dot 1977, yet have very different colors of walnut covers. On my original one I filed the blade where it mates up with the backspring because it was very canted downward. Now when I lay both on a table open, the blade spines align at the exact same angle. As you can see from my pics I also have two 3299 1/2 jumbo jacks. The carbon steel one on top is also a three dot 1977! The other is stainless and an 6 dot but with the 1980s blade stamp, so an 1984. Also the 1984 jack is flatter and has the same pattern pins as the Whalers

David you are more than welcome! I figured you would appreciate it more than I would. 😀

My new Ontarios.

The sheathes have plastic liners that keep the carbon off the leather and grip the handles.

Big shout going out to Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 for this arrival. Some weeks back he got in touch with me and offered to give me a Winchester Black Box Stockman. I was astounded, it's a favourite USER of mine but been looking for a backup one but with no success- you never know when a favourite knife might do a disappearing act....

The sharp eyed might notice there is a difference between BB Stockman, my user is the small Federal model and the arrival is the larger shield counterpart- they have slightly different tang-stamps too. So I'm doubly delighted to have both versions in the stable.

Many thanks Paul, fine gesture and greatly appreciated, Will

" twins by another mother" but both fine examples Will.👍🏻
Congrats to you and applause for Paul's generosity.

Absolutely the last new (to me) knife for a good long time.
I'll wash off whatever is under the hanging clip when I rehang it. RH cross draw? OWB vertical? IWB vertical? With the screws on one side, there will be [Edited to remove what kind of force; I'm not confident of my physics today.] on them in a vertical carry, but I bet they can take it.

Glad it made it to you and most importantly that you are happy with it. Great to now that I can help fill a void in one's collection. Have a great day my friend.
