Understood. I'm just very curious about the tang stamp.
I read somewhere that, at times, Case would use the lightning S to denote stainless steel and the regular S to denote carbon steel. This would be before stamping "cv" on the knives came about. I don't remember where I read this, or if it would apply to the mid-nineties, so FWIW.

I liked the covers made from corn and acrylic.

I think they are being silly by saying not to wash it with water, as it makes you think this Stainless knife is just for display purposes. First time I have seen this for SS knives.

As I was using it for raw meat I washed it and it did not fall apart...

Gritty action that needed a good wash and lubrication but still not as smooth as GEC, CASE, RR....
