I've wanted a congress for a while. Case makes one but it's smaller and four bladed. Half congress isn't exactly common from what I can tell. It was worth the wait, because this 3 5/8" Primble is very nice.

At any rate, this one came up on the exchange here and it's just the perfect front pocket knife.

A sheepsfoot and a pen blade perfectly aligned. Half stops, a little stronger than medium pull and snappy! Cool Primble blade etch. Plus we have that long pull and swedge!

It's Delrin, but man this is some good looking jigging. Nice shield and bolsters too!

Very well put together all around. Odd marks on the back here but no matter because it looks intentional.

It is a pleasure to see that whoever made this really cared about the product. I have to do some more research to figure out who made it.

Edit: Primble (the collector) in his thread about Primble knives identifies this tang stamp with the star as a Boker made from 1940-68.

This was a nice surprise. Definitely not the "hardware store" knife I thought it was going to be.

Getting closer to completing the Case Bose Collabs that interest me. Got this one with a maybe or maybe not Tony Bose signature. Got from a legit dealer so I am going to assume its his but honestly would have liked to have found one without it and save a few dollars. Never the less, I haven’t seen one of these available in a while so couldn’t resist. Hoping it arrives on Monday.

Worn coined liners on the back? Thats what it looks like to my old eyes.
Fantastic find. Congrats!

Yes that's a fine looking knife RickHuf RickHuf and I agree it's coining- but it looks as if it were a bit of an afterthought as the bolster seems to have got some of it too. My understanding is that it was usually done on the brass liners then assembled- I could be wrong though and in no way does it detract from this very fine example.

Thanks to all those who liked the latest Lamb Foot arrival, it's a very good one too

1983 Remington R1173 Baby Bullet Trapper shown with my previously posted Bullet Wannabee.

The Baby Bullet just arrived a couple of days ago and is shown (as received). I feel lucky - insert sarcastic chuckle at this point - to have gotten one that came with both "lanyard bushing relief cavities" (cracks) present. That does seem to be a "thing" with these knives. They don't hurt the function of the knife at all, but I may fill them in simply to prevent the edges from catching on anything. This is my first Bullet knife, and the shield looks to have some light pitting... Hmm?

Half-stops all around, and both blades have a firm, yet not overly strong pull. This knife talks... loud and clear. Granted, the Camillus quality I grew up with isn't apparent here, but it's still a solid knife. I don't have a lot of money in this one, and I believe it will be seeing some pocket time, both, while I clean it up, and after.

My only minor concern is that even though I purchased through what I believe is a reputable seller, the pristine condition of this 50+ year old knife and the only picture I had of the tang stamp makes me a little worried it could be a fake. The tang stamp U.S.A. Seems to be a little odd at the end of the A almost like there are two periods. The stamp and shield seem to check out as far as that time period though. Wasn’t that much regardless but hoping for the best.

These Teardrops are continuing the trend of F&F, my Teardrops have been the most consistent pattern I've gotten from Case. Blades centered or very close to centered, little or no blade play, minimal or no gap between lock and liner, pins/ handle material/ bolster finish good. The one slightly negative constant has been pulls a bit weaker than my other Case knives. And like with a couple of my other non-pocketworn jigged bone Case, this one has jigging sharp enough it catches cloth and grabs skins. I'll take some fine sandpaper and slowly work the sharp of the jigging like I did with the others. One more smooth natural bone (smaller shield, non-pvd blade) should arrive this week.

That’s a great little Coke bottle, Gus…I don’t think there’s any reason to be concerned with counterfeiting on that one. Looks 100% legit to me. Nice acquisition.

New arrival... Handy Man
The other two came in earlier this year. I've not gotten around to cleaning them up yet.

A couple of Electric Mates and one Handy Man
Ric-Nor Electrician's Barlows, plus a No-stamp that I'm sure was manufactured by Providence Cutlery Company as well.

Now I'm curious as to just how many variations of this Barlow were made.20230801_084400-E14-V-DDS.jpg
