Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Just got my first #73. I'm very impressed with the 73 - I really like the single blade pattern - it's slim but still has a nice heft in the hand. I love the simplicity and beauty of this pattern.
This one will be an AEDC.

This one arrived this week and I'm already putting it to work

I found these in a local flea-market yesterday.

Axe was £5 ($7.50), knife (in O1) was £8 ($12) :)

Axe is stamped A.E. Parkes & Co Ltd, Birmingham, 1945 and has the British 'crow's foot'/broad arrow military acceptance stamp :)

Two bargains I think

I just got my first micarta clad knife about a month ago. I like it more than I thought I would. It's fantastic stuff. Plus, any knife that has a caplifter automatically gets two bonus points.

That Bulldog is insanely beautiful. The color of the bone is just about perfect.

Here's my newest:

It's hard to capture the horn, but it's beautiful. Queen really did a knockout job with these.

Cory, I enjoy seeing the shots of your new Queen, and especially enjoy reading about your appreciation of and enthusiasm for your new knife!:thumbup: (I also enjoy drooling over the horn covers. :D)

I have a question that I'm not sure I can answer accurately from your photos. Does the knife have a slight taper from one end to the other, or is it essentially equal-ended? My guess is that it's a little "wider" at the main blade pivot than at the pivot for the pen blade. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words, Gary. It is in fact a sleeveboard design, with the pivot end of the main blade being slightly wider than the opposite end. It's also incredibly slim, being a single spring knife. I couldn't be any happier with this knife. When Queen first put out their 2015 catalog I pegged this knife as the one that looked the best to me. So, I've been waiting to find just the right one for a couple months. It was worth the hunt. I'm two for two on this year's Queens. Both I've bought have exceeded my hopes.

Thanks for clarifying the shape for me, Cory. Congrats on your successful search!:thumbup:
"Both … have exceeded my hopes" is quite a strong endorsement, IMHO (although I guess it depends what your original "hopes" were ;)). Sounds like Queen has a very satisfied customer.

Interesting...(starts looking at Boker retailers)

Boker has gotten fairly misleading in recent years as to where knives are actually made. Key is to look for Solingen written either on the tang stamp or on the shield. If it just says Germany but Solingen isn't on the knife anywhere then you know its assembled in Germany with Chinese made parts.

A quick telephone picture of the puukko I just bought from Remy B., a forum member.
It has a slender handle which was the reason it caught my eye. I don't really like the fat handles of most puukko's.

When I told him I was going to use it on wood and meat, he implored me not to baton with it. I told him not to worry, but I saw in his eyes he had his doubts. I wouldn't even baton with a Mora.

My new Tidioute #82 Antique Black Bone Dixie Stockman was waiting in my mailbox when I got home yesterday. Gunstock Jack's really came through!

Got off work early, received a gorgeous new knife, bought a new e-book I'd been waiting for, then went out for margaritas with my girlfriend. Pretty much a perfect day. :)
