Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

My buddy Chris 321Bandaid 321Bandaid sent me this great gift…a recovered 5OT, carbon steel, beautiful burlap Micarta and brass. Chris knows I love the brass and knows I love the burlap. What a cool gift! Thanks my man!! I’ll enjoy getting some patina on this bad boy.

Very generous Chris...keeping good will alive.👍🏻
Jon, that should stand proud with the brass/ burlap team.👌

Moki - "Glory Tree Leaf". Pretty tiny, only 6 inch overall. Too small for EDC, it's going to become my tuxedo-knife. The leaf is made from mother of pearl and abalone.

Just in, another Western hunter, the W66 from 1989. I may try to flitz the patina off, as I have other users in this pattern.

Love those Western 66's Jeff. You found a nice one! I wonder why more folks don't collect these. From what I read, they were as synonymous with hunting knives as Buck in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

I stumbled upon this Schrade LB7 in a 2nd hand store and bought it for around $40. I don’t know if that’s a good price or not but it’s not every day I come across a U.S. folder here in Sweden so I had to buy it, obviously.

Best,
D

That's a fair price! 👍 You certainly didn't overpay in my opinion. I watched those for a bit before deciding on an LB5 (a bit smaller).

Any gift from a fellow forum member is always a pleasure to receive. Yet, when a member puts such deep thought into a gift, one must pause in overwhelming awe. JonMcD knows I like straight edges and ironwood.

This Case recovered by Glennbad is such the case. What a fine whittler.
I can't thank you enough JonMcD.20231015_145714.jpg
