Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I stumbled upon this Schrade LB7 in a 2nd hand store and bought it for around $40. I don’t know if that’s a good price or not but it’s not every day I come across a U.S. folder here in Sweden so I had to buy it, obviously.

I wore one of those for well over a decade. Went through several sheaths. I could open it with one thumb.

Outstanding.

Searched on line for quite a while for what Puukko to get for my first one . Decided to choose one that had Carbon Steel , Curly Birch , Reindeer Antler and a Dangler Sheath that lead me to a Kauhavan Puukkopaja with a 125mm Blade that checked all the boxes for a price that I thought was reasonable . But as a bonus , it came with them inscribing up to 22 letters on the blade and a choice of colors on the Curly Birch handle . My Bride of 63 years bought it for me for my birthday and as soon as she saw it , she said that I could not use it and get it dirty .

Very glad you are pleased with the Puukko Harry  I think they make a very good & functional knife that's worth the €.
1 week delivery to US eh? Impressive, it can take that for me and it's only 80 kms (50 miles) up the road o_O such is the Post Office here day 2 deliveries a wk. sometimes 3....

They used to offer the Mini Puukko in Reindeer Antler and Birch but now it's only wood but they're also nice. Shown here with a GEC 15 for size, actually a very useful pocket fixed for various tasks.

Any gift from a fellow forum member is always a pleasure to receive. Yet, when a member puts such deep thought into a gift, one must pause in overwhelming awe. JonMcD knows I like straight edges and ironwood.

This Case recovered by Glennbad is such the case. What a fine whittler.
I can't thank you enough JonMcD.View attachment 2357625

So glad you love it Bob.

Get well soon my friend!

New to me Victorinox "Year of The Ox" (2021?) Huntsman.

Fancier than my previous Transluscet Ruby Huntsman that went AWOL when I moved here, I "think".

An gift from the gent down the hall.
He is "pretty sure" I will outlast him, so wants me to end up with all his Victorinox knives and multi-tool.
(The facility owner "might not" (unquestionably won't) let me in his room after he passes to get them, so he is giving them to me early, a few at a time.)
"My neices and nephews won''t appriciate them, so I want you to have them."
I did point out they might appriciate his SD Classic with 1 gram 24K gold bar on it, so he should give that one to them. He was never wedded, or had any younglings.

That is a nice little Kauhavan Will , What is the Blade and Handle length of it ??? I am afraid that the Handle would be too short for me .

Thank you Harry, it's very neat in the pocket (in its sheath...) Yes, I fear it could be too small for some but it's between a GEC 14-15 I'd say. Now it's a good job I've got a very Old School folding wooden ruler from Sweden, carpenter's type with Metric AND Imperial measurements on it ( I assume US and British inches are the same? whereas gallons and pints, pounds, stones are not.... )

Approx: Total length 14cm / 5.5" Handle 8cm / 3.25" Blade 6cm / 2.25"

Despite its Lilliputian dimension you can get a firm grip on the handle as it has the centre swell typical of most Puukkot and its excellent small blade is very handy for the garden- woody cuttings, opening bags of stuff , harvesting veg. Even a PSK !
