I stumbled upon this Schrade LB7 in a 2nd hand store and bought it for around $40. I don’t know if that’s a good price or not but it’s not every day I come across a U.S. folder here in Sweden so I had to buy it, obviously.
Searched on line for quite a while for what Puukko to get for my first one . Decided to choose one that had Carbon Steel , Curly Birch , Reindeer Antler and a Dangler Sheath that lead me to a Kauhavan Puukkopaja with a 122mm Blade that checked all the boxes for a price that I thought was reasonable . But as a bonus , it came with them inscribing up to 22 letters on the blade and a choice of colors on the Curly Birch handle . My Bride of 63 years bought it for me for my birthday and as soon as she saw it , she said that I could not use it and get it dirty .

I am very happy with the F&F of this knife and the 1 week delivery from Finland .

Beautiful....and like the way you showed it.New Grail Day for me. A Mick Moing mini integral fixed blade in 100CR6 and stabilized Linden wood. I've been wanting one of his fixed blades, especially a smaller one, for quite some time and I am beyond happy to have nabbed this one!

Any gift from a fellow forum member is always a pleasure to receive. Yet, when a member puts such deep thought into a gift, one must pause in overwhelming awe. JonMcD knows I like straight edges and ironwood.
This Case recovered by Glennbad is such the case. What a fine whittler.
I can't thank you enough JonMcD.View attachment 2357625
Very happy, what a creation! So glad you love it Bob.
Get well soon my friend!
That is a nice little Kauhavan Will , What is the Blade and Handle length of it ??? I am afraid that the Handle would be too short for me .Very glad you are pleased with the Puukko HarryI think they make a very good & functional knife that's worth the €.
1 week delivery to US eh? Impressive, it can take that for me and it's only 80 kms (50 miles) up the roadsuch is the Post Office here day 2 deliveries a wk. sometimes 3....
They used to offer the Mini Puukko in Reindeer Antler and Birch but now it's only wood but they're also nice. Shown here with a GEC 15 for size, actually a very useful pocket fixed for various tasks.
