This old school "Desert Fox" lockback by Paul Fox was a gift from a good friend at last week's California Custom Knife Show...I'm honored to have this amazing piece in the collection

New Boker Coffin in CPM MagnaCut and blue denim Micarta.

I'll be honest... I really dislike the blue denim Micarta.

That's kind of why I bought it though. After checking it out at a show, I realized that the covers not only have Torx construction, but are completely flat slabs (the notch is there if you want to add a pocket clip ). I think this is going to be the perfect platform to demo all kinds of covers in different materials. I have a lot of different covers in the works.

As with most Solingen made Bokers, fit and finish is excellent. The grind is really, really great. The stop pin is an awesome touch. I also really like the way they shaped the top of the blade to give it a dagger like appearance when opened. All in all, two enthusiastic thumbs up!!!

This basket case came in yesterday afternoon. Already working to restore a uniform edge but have it very sharp now. Next I'll give the tip a going over but the knife is very usable as pictured. I'm tempted to just leave it as is.

That is a great looking knife as it is.

I have never owned a 112. But it seems much nicer than the 110 for my needs.
