I dare say that one ^ may be a more attractive color than mine, and I was very lucky to have Matt_WY Matt_WY to pass his along to me recently. Are your covers really thick? (pic for comparison)

I actually prefer a bit more pearling in the knife than what mine has on the show side.

I’d say it’s perfect thickness on the covers for me.

My only gripe is that both blades have wobble when open, first I’ve experienced in a knife.

I’m not really sure what this knifes purpose will be yet, all my knives are users but I haven’t figured out its niche.

Mine are a bit fatter in the middle, and more assymetrical. I think a lot of people like the charm of that. My OCD says, hmmm 🤔

It needed lubed and sharpened.

I think it may have had a rough life with it's previous owners. ☹️

The clip point needed tightened a little to eliminate wobble.

I haven't researched the company or tried to find a tang stamp chart yet.

Blades appear to be stainless, so post c.1916. Other than that ... no clue.
Covers are well worn jigged bone.

EDIT:
Found this in a quick web search (oldpocketknives dot com) they show several knives listed on ePrey ... might be a locator site for them?

The Challenge Cutlery Co of Bridgeport, Connecticut made pocket knives from around 1891 to 1928. Originally a trademark of a company from Sheffield, it was purchased by Frederick Weibusch & Co in New York (died 1893). Soon after the company adopted the trademark. Challenge made wonderful quality pocket knives known for its dimpled jigged bone handles. The company closed in 1928 with the death of its owner, Charles Weibusch. Eventually, the assets of the company would be purchased by George Schrade and the eventually became the Schrade Cutlery Company. Check out some additional knives on the (sales links deleted by I.)
