Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

GEC knives are really hard to get a hold of in the UK . so I have spent some time looking through the for sale adds here on the forum . when I came across an add from link2derek advertising a TIDIOUTE 73 . so I sent an email asking if he would be willing to post it to the UK . he agreed and it arrived today . this is my first GEC and I have to say its beautiful it as a strong back spring and I am really pleased with the fit and Finnish . its a great knife from a great guy . thanks derek  .

Is shipping that tricky? I will ship for you if you find something you want, paypal me the money and it isnt anything too involved. Just let me know.

R8, very nice S & M Harness Jack. I have the same knife, same handles, and it has fine fit & finish and is an excellent knife.
Queen did a great job on these ones.

Thanks, it is a nice one. I really like the shape of the spear. Do you carry/use yours?
I am thinking about doing a little modification, though. The nail relief to access the awl is angled in such that the liner is scooped, but the bone cover is not. I tried to photo it, but I don't know how clear it is. I'm thinking of filing the bone to match the notch in the liner, to make a sort of easy open notch just on the pile side.

I just got it today, so I'll wait a bit to grind on it, but it ain't easy having such short thumbnails. :D

R8Shell, before filing the bone try placing a small piece of matchstick in the well where the tang contacts the spring. Idea is to boost up Punch blade just enough to give more exposure to the nail nick and still leave the tip below level of the liners.
My H.J. looks like yours as far as cutouts and closed position of Punch blade. I can slide my index fingernail down between the blade & the liner and open the Punch blade easily. I leave my index and thumb nails longer than the others for the purpose of opening knives.
I have never used this H.J. Too many knives to choose from but i do think of it as an excellent EDC. I like having a Punch blade for the times you want to poke at or scrape something. Without it one is tempted to use the tip of a regular blade and this is never a good thing to do unless you like rounded tips.

Thanks for the matchstick suggestion. That will be something to play around with that's not permanent.
I've decided not to modify the cutout. The angle just felt odd, but I'm getting used to it.

Actually it is sort of permanent. Once you get something just the right size wedged down there it tends to say put until you deliberately try to remove it with a slender pick.

Well yeah, but not as permanent as filing away material. ;)
I guess I mean irreversible.

Just got this yesterday and it has jumped to the top of my traditionals quickly.

I've been a Tad slow getting around to this.
Waiting for me when I came back from holidays early March a beaut parcel - all the way "down-Under" to Australia - direct from Ryan Daniels at Queen Cutlery.

Had a deal that went belly-up last year on a Queen ‘Mountain Man' and Ryan Daniels at Queen very generously stepped in with a 'make–good' at very reasonable price.
[ Ryan is a real Gentleman! ]
Except for this I have no affiliation with Queen but I cannot speak highly enough of the exemplary way they stand behind their products.

Mountain Man in Zebra Wood …. Plus a sweet little S&M coin/fob pocket knife, in genuine stag ….Plus an engraved brass lifter. After this I will certainly adding more Queen Cutlery to the collection.

Those are both very nice! I've always been partial to stag, but that Mountain Man outshines the S&M on this one!

It would be helpful to all of us if we ID'd the knife we post. e.g. rather than saying "i just got this neat knife" and posting a picture, how about, "i just got this neat knife, marked Queen City" or whatever is marked on it.
Very fine Harness Jack about 2 posts above. What do the markings say ?

Sorry, I posted that info in another thread. It's a Pal blade co. knife.

A couple more months until I can get rid of this phone. It's on its last leg. Will have pics where you can actually see the stamp then hopefully.

Congrats on the recently-acquired knives, and on the situation surrounding their arrival!:thumbup:
Thanks for sharing your story of customer satisfaction, Brumby.

Just looking around and I found this Case XX USA 3 dot (1977) 06247PEN for a reasonable price.
Obviously unused, a little bladerub, but the single spring is pretty snappy. It needs some use as an EDC, I think.
