Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Got this one in yesterday :) A new to me Vic Alox Cadet in Autumn Orange

I like it, but so does she, this is my 1st Cadet and my wife has claimed it for her purse :D:eek::D

Thats a really nice color on that Cadet Ron ... not sure that one is available in Aussie.....must check.
Just picket up one myself in Black... a great little EDC size. (I hope mine doesn't meet the same fate as yours - although "Happy wife happy life";))

No, I sold it to a buddy that had expressed interest when he saw it. I'm still on the fence with this new one. I'm so used to sheepsfoot blades, I feel weird carrying it lol.

Just think of it this way.....You need different blades for different jobs, that way it justifies more knives......

Thanks Ron. I always felt the smooth ivory bone was a classic cover material. Very happy to have scored this one from Dan.

Yes, a really fine carry that one Bob. Have a Clip version but I believe your Spear is the better of the two blades on a Barehead. Why did I get the wrong knife as usual??????:D:D

This Fontenille-Pataud was originally hafted with Walnut, but unfortunately, a member of the household put it in the sink to let it soak...:barf: Naturally it wrecked the scales, they swelled up and looked grotesque. So back to the menders for a new suit but this time a dark horn-tip. The pile side does have some lighter streaking. Gilles' group at FP fixed it up beautifully and I got it back in under a week, really impressive work too. This one has satin finish on the bolster and blade, you can order polish if you prefer. It's also a very clever lock-back Laguiole, so easy to open but very secure and has a blade stop so, no fear of damaging the edge like on other French knives. I'm very pleased. Just wish GEC would fix up knives when you offer to pay them.....

Regards, Will

This one came in today. My wife made a deal with me that if I quit dipping that she would match whatever I spent on Copenhagen for a few weeks and I could put it towards a knife. It took a few days to decide between stag and blue camel bone.

I'd say you made a good choice. On the knife too! :)

Rough Rider 858 "Small Trapper". Looks more like a mini Barlow, to me. 2 7/16 inches closed, Clip and Spey blades are both 1 7/8 inches. Imitation tortoise shell covers.
Nice knife. I like it better than I expected.
