Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

A George Wostenholm barlow that has an amazing story.
For some time I want a Joseph Rogers (GW 's sister society in the Egginton "group" in Sheffield UK).
But it was uneasy to find, if any...Finally I found one down there in New Zealnd. I was too happy to order it.
But guess what was in the parcel when it arrived 2-3 weeks later? Yes, that GWB
I decided to keep it. Sometimes mistakes have good sides!
But still want that JRB. Hope they don't mistake again next time! :D

Picked up A Girl Scout camp knife Friday. It was made by Kutmaster Utica.Little slimmer than the Boy Scout knife. Think this might be my new pack knife, fishing knife.

Nice teardrop, love it! Great mod too!
Got this one a couple days ago, a Queen #06L teardrop linerlock, my favorite single blade pattern. This one came with a problem, which was pretty easily rectified.

As you can see from the photo, there was no kick left on this blade. The blade edge was even with the flat of the kick that was left, and the blade was so low in the frame that you could barely see the nail nick, much less get to it with my fat thumbnail. Naturally, the blade was hitting the spring where it juts up into the bladewell at the center pin, leaving a very obvious mark in the edge. Well, I liked the covers too much to send it back (they really do have that much fire in them), so I went to work with the dremel first, creating the small EO notch for the nail nick. Then, using my 1x30 belt sander and diamond stones, I reprofiled the blade to more of a zulu spear, taking enough metal off to clear the spring at close. I've always thought a zulu spear was the most useful single blade profile, so this was not that big a decision for me. I like the results.

Dave, That's a real nice GS knife. I've passed up several of those regretfully.

I literally got these 20 minutes ago. My Daughter just got back from Michigan and had these nuggets with her. They belonged to My Wife's Grandfather. I like these tiny E.O.'s, and the Japanese made Kershaw with the MOP is kind of cool.

Mark & Chris - You gentlemen have received a great treasure imo. It is hard to beat heirloom history and a gift such as these. Chris, I really enjoyed reading how you received the LC. It is a beauty! Thanks for posting these guys. Congrats

Jeff Very neat and practical work on that Teardrop.:thumbup:

Is that a new kind of Winterbottom Bone they're offering? Looks interesting, the low nick is perhaps not so good, but fixed now:D

Thanks, Will

Per the enabling of my friend Jake (Jsega51) on here got this sweet little #15 clip in alongside a miniature painting done by my friend. She's the goose, I'm the moose. Found a goose feather on the way home from a day of moving house as well.

Just got this guy, my first TC. I have to admit I am a bit scared to use it. Beautiful knife in every respect.

Aha lastrodeo you got me, I know nothing really of Ornithology. Thank you.

Thank you Brett :) it was a nice end cap to the day

Tim, the Clip #15 is an under-appreciated knife. fine looking clip....Same can be said of the speared Talon Primble...that is peanut butter ready!

Love that talon Primble! especially the way it tapers with that swedge.
