Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Tim, you are up early, and thanks for the nice feedback.

I am in the fondling stages right now. My wife wanted me for yard work yesterday, so used a couple other knives. Couldn't bear to used it just yet for dirty work.

It's not the biggest folder I have, which is my Dad's large old timer trapper, but it seems to weight in similar and it is a beast of a knife. Just feels so solid in hand and well balanced. I have read somewhere " seems to be made out of solid 154 " to describe how this feels and it certainly does. When open it feels just as secure as a fixed blade. Fit and finish is very good...tho not excellent (I'm being very critical). Smooth at the spine at half stop and open. Like how the shield was radius-ed to the cover. I got it at a pretty good price too...

Haha more like I never slept. Hm that's a good impression for me. I've been debating picking one up but wondered about how large it was in hand or how heavy it might be/fit and finish vs a custom Lannys. Great patina on your swayback as well Steve. :D

My new custom hunter from Stuart Davenport (samuraistuart) arrived today. CPM-M4 @ 64 HRc, with Mayan Walnut handles. 9⅛" OAL with a nice thin edge, this one should cut forever. The walnut has great chatoyance, with new grain structures appearing each time you tilt the handle a little. Thank you, Stu!

Jeff, that is a beautiful, no nonsense blade:thumbup::)

Half/Stop: that samuraisruart is doing some really good blades!

Sak Guy: You know how to find them. NICE! Are those Farmers or Pioneers?

And btw Tim...the LC weights just about the same as a Farmer. That Old Timer is truly a beast.

What a beauty,Jeff!! Simplistic elegance. I can't figure out the maker's mark though?

Thanks, Swiss, Ron and Gev, for the nice words. Gev, I'm not sure about the mark either, but since he is samurai Stuart, it's probably some Japanese rune or character. I'll have to ask him for the answer. Simplistic elegance is a good description! The recent thread on Kepharts made me think about this one, since the blade profile is nearly the same, but the handle has a little more ergonomic contouring. I'll definitely get used to this one in the kitchen, prior to deer season.

It's been a Buck week for deliveries. Duke arrived yesterday, and 110 today.

My first purchase off of the exchange arrived today - I'll be searching for a second one, maybe a third...;)

A canittler! I've been wanting to try a csc but they don't seem to make many patterns besides trappers. Always had great experiences on the exchange.

I really like Canal Street's Cannitler. That one is a beauty and so is the photo. Our traditional forum knife for 2007 was a Cannitler in D2 and Mastodon. A really beautiful knife.

Another Schrade USA Old Timer that I didn't have an example of, this 61OT Slim Premium Stockman arrived yesterday. OH
