Great looking knife! I really dig the way they did the nail nick with the fancy northfield swedge on those 92s instead of the long pull, really makes them look different
Also looks like the spear points are pointier on the talon as opposed to the eureka jacks, maybe its just a camera perspective thing, my EJ has a pretty obtuse point.

Kitten Party - Thank you for the compliment:) The Northfield version has got all the bells and whistles when it comes to aesthetics.:)

Ron

Looks like you snapped up the last of those Northfield Talons with Spear master . A rare bird of paradise!

Thanks, Will

Will - Thank you for for your comments Sir!:) This is actually a gift from one of my young friends, Ryouchijtx, here on the porch :):)
It certainly is a rare bird, partially thanks to Primble's 92 thread. It is truly a very generous and most surprising gift.:thumbup:

I've been a busy body with the knife hunt :D Check out this Robeson #48 split back whittler!! PERFECT centering, no blade rub, what a looker:) Super happy with this purchase and I got it at an insane price for the quality! The pull on all the blades is a 9, almost a nail breaker. I think it just needs some sofa fondling :D

Picked up a couple of USA Schrade 8OTs what great knives!! What great prices!! Really impressed by these as well as the 108OT i got last week. I'm going to have to expand my USA Schrade collection for sure!!

This small Boker stockman is really stunning and has near sunken joints!!! I'm going to have this guy in the watch pocket for a while I'm guessing.

I new that Texas Jack reminded me of something.

That #76 Outlaw does not get carried very often but i think they resemble one another.

The first knife I bought on my own back in 1972 was a Ka-bar 1100 stockman. The knife has been missing in action since I moved about 8 years ago. Well, I got a replacement recently..

Goldenrod jigged bone 92 Talon found it's way into my mailbox yesterday :)

Oldmanrunning I got the Tidoute half whitt in buffalo horn yesterday (my first GEC), what a GREAT KNIFE! The Texas jack is similar to the 76, nice knives.

lucydog sounds as if you are enjoying your #57 as much as i am enjoying mine an, UN-X-LD version in stag or primitive bone is my grail knife though.

Holy Moly, Steve, that SBJ in stag is top shelf!!:thumbup::thumbup: I didn't even know that stag covers were an option, and now I think I've seen two examples of stag SBJs here on BF today!

Thanks GT got that one in the exchange...it's my first stag knife by the way and I really like the weight of it compared to the gent, and cv sbj that I have. This hobby!!! Now gonna have to try other patterns in stag...

this just in

Very nice option that one:thumbup:

I say this because I'm waiting for exactly the same knife myself!:D Tracking says it has 'disappeared' as it were, over the Atlantic, it's somewhere in the Old World anyway. It will give a lot of fine ageing potential like all Smooth Ivory Bone, just waiting gnawing away on time!

Thanks, Will

Yeah, Steve, I just got my first stag knife, a Buck canoe, a couple of weeks ago and am now plotting where my next stag will come from! :o:rolleyes:

My close up camera is on the fritz, but there is amazing detail on the sheath...can see fur on the animals...even individual hairs in the wolf's tail. The sheath is signed, "K. S. 55",

Suggestion only : Check out patterns in Stag that only have a Bolster on one end.
