Beautiful two soda scouts RonThey're really quite perfect on this run
Dadpool, that knife is outstanding in every way; congrats!:thumbup: I have to admit that I didn't even know that knife existed, and now I'm wondering how I can exist without one!I can see why you're ecstatic over your newest addition!
Ron I think the micarta will look particularly effective once it acquires a patina robe, the colours should go well together. Great choice in my view.
Thanks, Will
Looks like you went deeper than my pocket carry didHere's my OD Micarta viper after a scotch brite wash. It had turned almost black with the oils/not sure what type they used. But with the Micarta beer scout I can't see any linen whatsoever.

Thanks, thales2015, KBA, Gevonovich, Ryouchijtx, major_works, Crazy Canuck, swaybacksteve, and 2Dead! I really appreciate that.
I get it wrong as often as I get it right! Thank you for the kind words -- your comment made my day.
Yep, 3 1/4" on the button. One of my favorite knife lengths, particularly for dress pants/slacks/whatnot.
Wow -- that's a neat progression! My only micarta-handled knife, a non-traditional, had a very rough, textured feel right out the gate. I've never seen a smooth one in person, and seeing how it breaks in is nifty. Great photos!
Rats! I thought I posted this yesterday, but just discovered that I must not have "submitted" it after previewing it.(I seem to do that a lot lately!

Congrats, SAK Guy! :thumbup::thumbup:
Fantastic new knives for you, Mike!! Very cool! That Butter Bean is something else!
Congrats, CROWE; those stag 73s are just incredible!!:thumbup: Almost every time I walk away from a BladeForums session in the past month, I have a little debate with myself. "Can I really afford to get one of those stupendous stag 73s that several members have recently bought?" "Can I afford NOT to get one? Every owner seems to adore them!"
I think that's the first Soda Scout I've actually seen, Trand; very nice!Kind of root beer soda, I think!
Brett, that is some very bold, rich red you've got there!!(Well, I call it red; I'm not real strong on color recognition.

That's a beauty, zharik!:thumbup:Just received my Boker Beer Barrel Wood Whittler.
Great little knife and sharp as a laser. It is good start of researching american classic patterns. I am very happy with it.

Although I'm not a single-blade lockback fan myself, that sure is an attractive knife, James!:thumbup:Just got this in.
It was mentioned in the "Unpopular Knives" thread (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1305443-Unpopular-Knives)
Upon locating one for sale I thought it looked similar to some of the custom knives I've seen, so I gave it a try.
It's build quality is impressive and it came shaving sharp.
Thanks for pointing this one out LastRodeo and plk7.:thumbup:...
Thanks Gary. The cutlers in Seki Japan have a very long heritage of building quality products.Although I'm not a single-blade lockback fan myself, that sure is an attractive knife, James!:thumbup:
