Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

 Thanks Brett! I've been very fortunate on finding some of my "grail" fixed blades lately . Been neglecting that part of my collection for a long while.

You have certainly made up for the neglect.

My newest

Just got this in the other day. Besides all the pitting and rust, the knife appears unused. Blades are pretty scuffed up from the previous owner scrubbing away, but it is a solid knife with plenty of life left in it. *check out the case stamp has rusted away :)

No tips beer spilling tips from me but here's my most carried linen micarta knife (only a couple of months of carry over the years). The first 2 pics are from when I received it. They looked solid black but there was a hint of linen in the handles. The 3rd one is more recently after washing the handles.

Here's my OD Micarta viper after a scotch brite wash. It had turned almost black with the oils/not sure what type they used. But with the Micarta beer scout I can't see any linen whatsoever.

While being involved with this forum has torn me all over the place & introduced me to some real nice patterns - the old bog standard Stockman is still my main interest.
So much variation just within this one pattern even if it is just the shield.

Thanks, thales2015, KBA, Gevonovich, Ryouchijtx, major_works, Crazy Canuck, swaybacksteve, and 2Dead! I really appreciate that.

Dadpool...that S&M senator is really a looker. I've not even given this model much of a glance. probably because I normally just don't get attracted to pearl. And it is difficult to judge a knife on online store or even the bay from pictures, But you have managed to pick some really unique knives.
You have the eye for these:thumbup:...That senator in black pearl just about defines what a gent knife should look right.

I get it wrong as often as I get it right! Thank you for the kind words -- your comment made my day.

Very nice Dadpool!! How big is it closed? Looks like a Queen #26 Senator which is about 3 1/4" closed.

Yep, 3 1/4" on the button. One of my favorite knife lengths, particularly for dress pants/slacks/whatnot.

Wow -- that's a neat progression! My only micarta-handled knife, a non-traditional, had a very rough, textured feel right out the gate. I've never seen a smooth one in person, and seeing how it breaks in is nifty. Great photos!

Vintage Case Cigar. Previous owner kept this guy sharp. I like the simplicity of it and it's got great walk and talk.

Friend Josh, aka Rockon75 gifted this as a thank you for a bit of sharpening, wasn't necessary but certainly appreciated!

adding a Viper in stag to join in with the rosewood...really like this one as the sl. thicker stag slab is on the pile side and as a lefty it means that my fingers wrap around it, while the flatter shield side lays on the palm. this one fits real nice in hand.

I had these come in over the last two days. The Barlow is in American Walnut and the Boy's Knife is in Ebony.

Drat! I thought I posted this yesterday, but just discovered that I must not have "submitted" it after previewing it. (I seem to do that a lot lately! :()

I've been searching for my perfect gentleman's carry, and I think I've found it in the form of this 2002 Schatt & Morgan black mother-of-pearl Senator:

I'm flummoxed as to how to capture the luster and depth of the pearl with my camera, which is marvelous when the light hits it just right. I've completely failed to capture it here. I hope, however, that I've at least been able to convey how wonderfully smooth this knife is -- the covers are so neatly joined that it almost feels like the whole knife is a single piece. The pins are barely detectable by feel.

This knife ticks so many boxes for me: equal-end, sheepsfoot secondary, lightweight (1.3 oz.!), vanishingly small in-pocket, pleasing in-hand (four-finger grip), and the best fit and finish of any of my S&M knives. The only way it could be closer to perfect is if the main blade had a fully sunk joint (the secondary does), but it's so close to sunk that that's a minor quibble.

I'm so happy with this little guy!
Dadpool, that knife is outstanding in every way; congrats!:thumbup: I have to admit that I didn't even know that knife existed, and now I'm wondering how I can exist without one!:D I can see why you're ecstatic over your newest addition!

Congrats, SAK Guy! :thumbup::thumbup:

GEC # 73 s/n 44. I am so in love.
Congrats, CROWE; those stag 73s are just incredible!!:thumbup: Almost every time I walk away from a BladeForums session in the past month, I have a little debate with myself. "Can I really afford to get one of those stupendous stag 73s that several members have recently bought?" "Can I afford NOT to get one? Every owner seems to adore them!"

...A new Soda Scout arrived for me today :)
I think that's the first Soda Scout I've actually seen, Trand; very nice!:cool: Kind of root beer soda, I think! ;)

...
My newest

Brett, that is some very bold, rich red you've got there!!:cool: (Well, I call it red; I'm not real strong on color recognition. :(:o)

The one on the bottom right is a Kutmaster Serpentine Jack with the black comp scales with the Drink Coca Cola shield. Picked it up from a friend who saw it in local knife store and after some discussion he was my proxy and bought it for me

The two white on top are Chinese from the last 20 years and the bottom left with the end of day scales is unknown German.

I had to take a pic with the other Coke knives, missing is my red Christmas Coke Case peanut. BTW, the tray is vintage coke from the early part of the 20th century.

Thanks, Tim! That saw cut is fantastic. I so wanted a long pull spear, but I was really surprised by the ebony. 2012 was a good year.

We both had spearpoints on the brain Dean :D, really nice ebony on that 15.

Just got this in today
