Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Really great stuff, Ed-- especially your giving the first knife away, but also your finding and securing a second. That in itself speaks well of the pattern.

[The #79 Workhorse Whittler (3-blade iteration) is one of my favorite of GEC's plethora of patterns.]

Me, I'm still marveling at the Case Canoe that just arrived,

This is my first in-hand look at a Case canoe. The knife much more substantial than I had gathered from pictures only, while being a wonderful slim carry. A very fine piece indeed.

The blade edges are keen (and I believe original? They sport the tell-tale striations of Case's less-than-finished finishing, anecdotally attributed to Case's catering to collectors who can thus 'prove' at a glance that a given collectible has never been sharpened. Gasp).

Awed by the Canoe's blades' near-silent evisceration of newsprint, I am once again thrown back to the drawing board my stones and/or various devices to work on my sharpening skills-- but not on this knife! It doesn't need my "help," yet. :)

Thanks for the kind words Sarah. That's a great looking Canoe that Primble sent you.

I had a pretty big week, biggest in quite awhile. First was this wonderful stag handled Case Stockman from Primble, coming the same day a 1974 bone handled Case Canoe, and a Böker Solingen made, stag handled Congress. OH

Got my first SAK since I was a kid last week. Been carrying it all week. Already want another. The red alox looks so good once its got a little wear on it, gonna have to find one. I might cheat and get thats already worn in on the secondary market.

Looks like a gigantic week, Old Hunter. Those knives are superb! I especially admire the canoe.

Another stunning canoe (although I couldn't figure out how to "quote" the photo)! I've had some time to wander recent threads today, and stumbled across at least 3 splendid Case canoes. I'm suddenly smitten by the pattern!

This beauty is on the way to me from Ray Smith. Its his first 2 blade pattern!!!

Beautiful knife. Looks like it's based on the Ka-Bar Coppersmith barlow that I've had in my shopping cart online for a week now. Just need to pull the trigger. Please let us know how it turned out once you get it in hand.

Fresh from the mailbox! Northwoods Fremont Jack in green micarta.

Got my first stockman this week. Yellow of course. I've really enjoyed the patern. But I'm a little disappointed in this one. All three blades rub each other, and the spey rubs the liner. Also the sheepsfoot is ever so slightly bent at the end. It was a display model at a local retailer so maybe it was mishandled a little. My knifes are all users and I got a good deal so we'll just call it character. Got to decide what yeller to get next. I'm. Leaning toward trapper.

I purchased my first traditional folder today, a 2001 Marbles English Jack, and have been looking at the Scagel Fruitport as I live in the village :)

That is indeed what I had it based on, as I've had my eye on that barlow for quite awhile now too :) Just got it yesterday and Ray did superb work on it, especially since its his first 2 blade knife!!

Just received these 2 beauties in the mail today as well.

Jon ~ great shot of two great barlows. Well done sir.

I just got this beautiful 81 as an early birthday gift from my wife. :)

Nice! I love Case's yellow Delrin. The Stockman is hard to beat as an all-purpose pocket knife.
