Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Thanks, Josh. They are indeed expensive like you mentioned. For whatever it's worth, both of my examples rival or surpass the few custom knives I own in fit & finish and overall quality. I think it's primarily the three blades that drives up the cost on these. If you look at this year's single blade collab, another hundred bucks for a three blader of this magnitude is easier to accept.

I have to admit though that it wasn't easy finding an Ebony version in jet black with no brown streaks. I had to look around some. Finally succeeded by asking a dealer who uses stock photos to send me some actual pics.

I was on the fence about the price when I bought my first one last year. As it turns out, I like the dang thing so much that I bought another one and spent the money twice.

I got my Colt Signature Series Stockman with black stag today was opening the blades to take pics and promptly cut myself had trouble getting one open sending my finger flying into another open blade, was my good typing finger too, got a splint on it trying not to bend it.

Who says stainless steel won't hold an edge.....OUCH!! Done the same a few times myself, always seems to happen when trying to get all the blades open all at once to get a photo. I guess that's why they invented knife picks.
BTW: nice knife!

Thanks guys. Yeah, the punch is quite large but very useful. I'm stoked for the 2016 forum knife!

Also picked this 2011 GEC SFO Dog Paw 33 up at my local shop...they have lots more. PM me for info.

I posted a thread with more detail.

Here are a couple of 8 knives I got in a Labor Day knife shopping spree.

One is a Marbles ram's horn pruner, which seems to be a very solid, well-made knife.

It's not "the real deal", but I'm actually quite happy with it!:D

Really liking that horn!

This one arrived yesterday, my first Buck.

I believe it to be made by Camillus between 1974 and 1985, based on the Buck history threads I've read. Corrections and clarifications from those with more experience are warmly welcomed.

Regardless of maker and age, it's a neat little knife in good user condition and will make a fine companion for my similarly-sized Schrade 34OT.

Nice Oeser, Tim.

I picked up this Ben Seward bowie in Kansas City at the ICCE show. In a room of some of the finest knife makers alive, Ben's knives excel. Some of the nicest plunge lines and grinds in the room, a very chatoyant, tight ladder damascus(300layer), beautifully sculpted zirconium guard, and some fine bark mammoth ivory handles, mortised construction. David Seward, Ben's father, made me the sheath to my liking, brown elephant with carving. I really like this knife and it feels right at home on my hip. I will make a thread about this knife when I get it back home, had to mail it home to avoid chancing checked baggage.

Auslox, I'm always curious about what kind of jewels are sitting in unknown dealer inventory. I currently know of multiple 54 whittlers that are sitting in inventory that are not listed online by one dealer.

I spent more time than I should have watching the debate while looking for a cattle knife that looks as good as that ebony.

Only thing I came across were customs by Tony, Ploppert, or Dr T so those would be north of the Case/Bose. Can't believe no one has made a production in that style.

Again, very nice knife Railsplitter.

Couldn't live with just one Case/Bose Cattle Knife. The Ebony just arrived today.

That carbon fiber is gorgeous, Tim! I didn't even know that anyone could do that with carbon fiber.

Thanks Dean! Yeah creating that sort of contouring 'overlay' has been done by a couple makers but I imagine with Carbon Fiber you need a high grade tight weave to avoid voids. It's Russian roulette with some CF to have voids appear while contouring. I certainly love that marbled effect, almost looks like smoke rising off the covers.

Thanks Kris, that is a beauty of a piece with an immaculate photo to boot. I don't envy flying and shipping knives home ;) I've always stressed over the proper way to ship my knives if I went to a show.

Stopped by my local case outlet and couldn't pass this one up. I passed up all the peanuts I wanted. The army g10, the faux ivory, the checkered chestnut, the walnut bone, the black g10. But this one came home with me. I like the size and may be looking fir a wharncliffe mini trapper next.
