Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Picked this guy up from Ken Daniels at the Great Lakes Knife Show yesterday. Apparently I won't be carrying it, as my son claimed it as his before we even left the booth.

My god, it's the Prince of Stagness!!:D Really nice bark there [emoji106]
LoL Thanks Will !
My biggest worries is wearing that Stag down to a stub from fondling it so much 😉

Your son has exquisite taste, Cory!:thumbup: (Too bad for you, though! :D)
That Ruple sowbelly is incredible: great stag, bodice shield, unadorned round bolsters!:cool:
I'd really appreciate seeing a shot with blades closed, if you get the time for it.
Is that Great Lakes Knife Show always in Wisconsin?
I was looking forward to the next Grand Rapids Gun & Knife Show 2 weeks from today, but just noticed it has been cancelled due to construction on the exhibit hall. :(
Congrats again on that fantastic knife! I've sort of pledged allegiance to canoes as "my pattern", but I've rarely seen a sowbelly stockman I didn't like, either. :o

Thanks for the words, GT. I'll be sure to grab a blade well picture when I get a chance, hopefully tonight.

The Great Lakes Knife Show has always been in Wisconsin as far as I know. It was run by a company called Northern Lakes Knife Co. up until last year. NLKC decided not to run the show any more, and a gentleman that is involved in the Badger Knife Club Show picked up the ball. The venue in Janesville where the show had always been held decided to double the rent, and this year the show was moved to Beloit to a larger venue that didn't charge as much. It's my first time attending this show, and it was every bit as good as the Badger Knife Club show. There were a good amount of makers there including LT Wright, Lon Humphrey, and forum members Ken Coats and Rick Nowland. There were more that I didn't recognize, but it was nice to see those four there. I spent quite a bit of time at the LT Wright booth and Rick Nowland's table. I'll definitely be making it an annual pilgrimage.

Was Ken Erickson there Cory?

He was not. I knew that going in, but I was pretty disappointed when his name wasn't on the vendors list. I was really hoping to see him again as I have a list of things that I want to discuss with him that I've been saving up since I saw him in the spring of last year.

Derrick from Knives Ship Free and Mike from Bark River were supposed to be there but were not, and that was a disappointment as well. It was still a great show though, and well worth the trip.

Just got these 56s in the mail as new old stock from a dealer. By happenstance, the old Miller Bros. showed up in the mail a couple days ago as well. Guess it's dogleg week in Connecticut. (Dang, I really have to work on my photography skills.)

Thanks, Paul. I'm really pleased with them. I had been looking for one, came across the three, and couldn't decide which to get. So it goes...
