Thank you my friend .
I had to load them on Flickr because of Photobomb being down , and I have not yet figured out how to move 1 picture at a time and how to make the picture show.
I Do Not think Flickr is as easy to use yet.

Added at 10:46 P.M. : Looks like Photobomb is partially back up and can now see old pictures again , but still can't log in to it.

Got my Forum knife today. :) :)

I can't find a thing wrong, if I had to pick something, it didn't shave outta the box. The grind lines are all even it had a small wire edge that took a few minutes on the strop and it'll shave but I 'll wait till I need to sharpen it and reprofile then,

I got in a couple of nice stockmen this week. First up is a green bone Fight'n Rooster Frank Buster Celebrated from the mid '90s. Pinched and slanted bolsters with acorn shield are somewhat rare for this mark. 3.82" closed, with some light peppering, should be a great user.

Next is a 1995 Winchester Cartridge Series 30-30 stockman @ 3.91" closed. Beautiful knife, complete in it's presentation box, mint condition, with pinched, slanted and lined bolsters. The steel of this knife is in question: the seller said stainless, while I thought the Winchesters were all 1095 carbon. If anyone knows the steel for this series, please chime in.

This just arrived yesterday. It's my first Queen. Overall the f&f is pretty good. Nothing to compare with my Northfields, but it came scalpel sharp. I'm looking forward to comparing the quality of the SM and TV I have on the way.

Some of you know that I only use fixed blade knives now and that BUCK (USA) is my favorite brand.

My husband and I used up some of his retirement gift certificates. He insisted that I use part of the money. Okey dokey! I got my second and third KA-BAR knives. All of my Ka-Bar knives are Made in New York.

I got a Ka-Bar USMC #1217 and a Ka-Bar #1251.

Jeff That Greenbone Buster is a very fine catch! Nice to see match strikes even on the secondaries and the shield and bolsters just give it presence! Yes, that will make a quality user for sure.

That's a particularly attractive forum knife!

blademan, that is absolutely gorgeous. I confess that sometimes I'm trying to catch up on a thread, scrolling down the page while listening to the news, drinking coffee, not really giving my full attention, and then a picture will stop me in my tracks. That mellow bone is just so rich and beautifully weathered. Congratulations on that find.

Now I'm craving caramels. :D

Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, hard to believe the holiday season is upon us once more. It's a silly thing, but what puts me in a festive spirit is seeing the Buck Knives gift tins show up in the big box stores. No matter how fancy my knife collection may get, I hope I can still get enthused about these offerings.

This weekend I found:
A (redacted)/Trapper combo in some kind of wood. Maybe cherry or walnut? I don't know, but it looks very nice.

Usually I'm only interested in the Bucks, but next to them was this "New Timer" Taylor Schrade Sharpfinger/Peanut combo. Under $15, it was an impulse buy. I don't see myself carrying the Sharpfinger, but it might make a decent paring knife in the kitchen.

The gift tins are always a fun buy, especially when you get them for yourself. Somehow, the tins seem to last longer than the contents.
