Arrived today :Rogers Jigged Walnut Bone Peanut and Seahorse Whittler

Beer Scout with Charred Beer Barrel Oak serial number 116

Thanks Jack, even you would like the 2 blade 76. It's that nice. The 2014 BF is champagne and filet mignon. When I opened it I wouldn't let anyone touch it. Grail city!

Mine came in today too, (Christmas/birthday gift to myself). Just love the jig, and I can live with the color. No noticeable faults, I judge pull to be about a 6. The Wharmcliffe master blade is a full 3/16" thick on this knife; massive. I just so happened to have a leather sheath that the knife fits into perfectly, so this will go into EDC rotation immediately.

3/16" thickness on the Wharmcliffe master blade.

Guess I'll have to wait on a Beer Scout and a Rogers Bone Peanut, but that's ok. So far lovin' this sexy Seahorse, and I finally have an example of Rogers Bone in my small collection.

I saw these on a site where I have bought some Case knives. Very interesting? I did not know they made that blade so heavy. That's a great looking, robust piece.

What steel are the blades? Doesn't say on the site's I've checked?

Case calls it "Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel", which is marketing hype if you ask me, meant to be vague. I have never seen Case describe it any other way, so I think they prefer we don't know exactly what that is. I think it is an iteration of 420 of some type.

That is really nice color in that Whittler Sonny. I am pretty happy to see some other Rogers Jigged Walnut Bone Seahorse Whittlers posted . I think they are very well made and have great eye appeal.

Harry, that whittler is really special.

Thanks Alan !! This one will be gifted in 10 days to a family member who fell in love with my Peanut and Whittler and I gave him the Peanut on the spot . I have a Peanut again and he will have this Whittler.

Harry, impressive B.S. Love those Charred Oak Barrel covers:cool:

Thanks Paul !! I am pretty happy with the entire knife . I did in fact desire the darker covers , and I got lucky .
There is 1 or 2 little places that I will call " Beauty Marks " . I guess that I am pleasantly surprised in the way the handles did turn out.

Harry; Messed up the response, but what I tried to respond to you with was:

That's exceptionally nice of you!

Still catching back up on the various newer Case markings? I see the SS on the one blade? I always think Case CV or their new "True Sharp" < easily wrong on that one.
