I like your new Boker Steve !! Like the pattern and the Stag .
Are your plans to carry that in a Slip ???

Harry

Thanks Harry. It was looking at your Kronenkrebs that gave me the extra push to get the Boker. They have a number of different scales but was always "wondering" about the stag . The stag on the Boker looks more like Case's 6.5 bone stag but it is pleasing to the eye and nice and thick.

I had my wife sew in a knife pocket in many of my jeans so it's real easy to carry various sized knives in the front pockets. otherwise I will carry in this old sheath that I use for my SAK super Tinker or Huntsman. Looks black but more of a dark chocolate.

I am sorry , but I have to disagree with you on the Stag Steve . There is no comparison between your Stag and Case 6.5 Bone Stag with Stag being the winner.
It is very seldom that you will see a newer German or English made knife with Stag that has deep texture to it like on your 73 . I did look at others at different dealers and it appears that Boker is putting their nicer Stag on the pattern that you have and the higher priced pattern with the saw that Mt. Damascus has. I could be very happy with one with Stag like yours my friend .

Harry

Harry your opinion means alot to me. I do not have many stag knives and yup the stag on my 73 has some of the nicest that I have. The Boker just had a look like the 6.5 , which of course Case patterned after real stag and I have a couple of nice examples...I just didn't have any of the real stuff until now. Definitely the thick "bark" look that the Boker has is much richer looking now that I had some time to look it over and compare.
Looks like you are on the edge of getting one yourself:D This pattern in which I was introduced with by the Remington Trailhand is one I can not resist!

Picked up this Kutmaster at a local gun show. Has strong springs and great walk n talk. Main blade has faint etched "PROPERTY OF US GOVT".

Are you going to return it to the Govt? They might be looking for it.
