Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

They're coming out with another Norfolk? I thought the yearly release was going to be a Eureka Jack.

My mistake. It is the Eureka. I was researching the case/Bose knives and got fascinated with Norfolk too!

The Eureka looks like a winner to be as well. These Norfolks are a bit hard to come by.

I agree. The eureka looks great to me. A lot of guys are excited about the tribal spear. Not for me.

I search for Tony's collaborations for sale once in awhile. Eventually I will find one ☝️

Some fabulous new additions here! Bob, I particularly like that Case/Bose Norfolk of yours. Any plans to whittle with it? ;)

By a happy coincidence, the postman dropped off both this book and this Ahti Tikka yesterday.

Thanks Ron.

Greg, the extent of my whittling generally amounts to turning big sticks into little sticks. I've done a fair amount years ago. It's something I should pick up again to occupy my time.

Bob Very nice photos indeed thank you! I agree with you about the Northwoods version, just too skimpy for my tastes and I like small knives generally. Would be nice if GEC had another go at the Norfolk frame, but this time a credible sized one, why not Tip bolsters? Seen those in the old catalogues. Good to see you home again and posting.

Thanks, Will

Thanks Will.
I'm sure it would be a good selling pattern if they made one in the 3.750" range. Tip bolsters sound nice. There was also a small Queen made Winchester black box with slanted bolsters which I found appealing too. But again, that one was also too small.

That's interesting Bob, I recently got a Black Box Winchester Stockman, very impressed with it actually so I'm on the look-out for other smaller patterns too. Hard to find over here though.

Good to see you here again Bob. Bob and Will, would the new 13 pattern in the clerk variant work for you as an alternative to a true Norfolk?

Not in my mind Alan. Completely different blade size offerings. Having owned a 13, a 62, and a Norfolk, I might go out on a limb and say the two blade 62 is somewhat close.

I was just looking at pics and some of the differences between the Norfolk and Congress patterns are the blade being somewhat offset. The Norfolk uses the small wharnecliff like a Case swayback, but it's offset when open to create that "hump" where the Congress blade spine is more of a straight line with the back spring. The Norfolk also has the curved back spring with center hump.

I did a trade with Crazy Canuck (Mike) a while back. This was waiting for me when I got home from the hospital yesterday. I've always wanted one and I couldn't be happier with this one. Case/Bose Norfolk. Such a quirky pattern, but it just works oh so perfect. Thin profile, sunken joints, a tight little clip secondary, the grinds, 154CM steel. Most of all, the size is perfect. I tried to like the Northwoods version, but it was just too small for me.
Thanks for the trade Mike. :D

My smooth autumn gold 85 is still in route and I have another acquisition from a friend to show off tomorrow.

Patience Alan, patience, patience. < my current mantra

Great stag on that one

Happy to see that you picked that up Greg, beautiful knife and sheath:thumbup: I have no doubt you will carve some true works of art while in its company.
