Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

My wish is that they would do a run of #48s with a sheepfoot secondary rather than the long Wharncliffe, like the old Schrade 93OTs.

Bob, congrats on the new addition to your checkered bone collection; fantastic!:thumbsup:
And a belated welcome home. That's gotta help you feel at least a little better, even if you didn't have a marvelous new knife waiting there! :D

Here's a third new Marbles for me from my most recent buying spree. It's a ram's horn sowbelly stockman on which black mamba should get a commission, since seeing a photo of his inspired my purchase. I already had a Marbles sowbelly with stag bone covers, and I had a couple of other Marbles patterns (canoe and pruner) in ram's horn, and I like all of those very much, so getting a favorite pattern in a favorite cover material seemed like a no-brainer! ;)
The color of the horn on this sowbelly is a little browner, or a little less green, than my other examples of Marbles ram's horn, but I like it at least as much as the earlier ones.

That'd be pretty cool. I love the curved/straight combo on my traditional knives, but the wharncliffe on my 48 bloodwood really sticks out and digs into the hand. A short sheepsfoot or coping blade would alleviate that issue yet still give us a useful straight edge.

On the way and don't know if I'll be able to post pictures with this new forum format and no Tapatalk:rolleyes::thumbsdown:
But regardless Finally was able to score a Northwoods Hawthorne Jack in Mammoth /clip and Stag/ wharnie

You can use photobucket to upload the picture and post them here.
Get the photobucket app, upload the picture to PB, click the symbol that has a circle with an "i" in it copy the link next to where it says "direct" then click the little picture icon next to the smiley above the text box and paste the "direct" link into where it says "image URL"
Voilá, image inserted.
I have a GEC #47 Viper waiting for me when I get home will post a picture when I get home

Nice lookin' horn, GT, welcome to the club!
Thanks, Jeff! :)
Haven't I seen photos of you with ram-like beasts you've bagged on hunting trips? Ever think about using some of your own ram horn to haft a knife? That would be very cool (but I have no idea how practical it is)!

Thanks I've actually used photobucket for years before switching to Tapatalk making posting pictures simple . Photo bucket has been and was giving me issues and for some reason loaded with advertising pop ups and wanting me to upgrade to the paying option .
I'll have to check it out again to see if it's working again but since going to Tapatalk I've never looked back .
Congrats on the viper it's a great Blade

Thanks, Jeff! :)

Yes, you have, but I wouldn't even know how to go about doing it. I'm just gonna mount them on a wooden shield, like you would a set of deer antlers.

My 1st traditional! A great choice if I do say so myself. Purchased here on BF.
I think I'll be posting another GEC To the thread soon. A #15 perhaps?
Here's my #47

That's a great start! The #15 is popular for good reason. Check out the Beer Scouts and Crown Lifters from the run last fall. Most GEC dealers still have them.
