Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Quite a prize, there Ted! I'm not usually a fan of dark bolsters, but the maroon looks great.

Yesterday morning I get emails and PMs and text messages from everyone, "Ted check your email, check your messages, you won the the Blade show GAW that @Steven65 held for a JD Ellis Lanny's Clip with Sandvik 12C27 Stainless beautifully ground and swedged clip blade with blue G10 frame red linen micarta liners, looks like black linen micarta bolsters and natural canvas micarta scales. To date the best GAW I've ever won in 20 years.

Thanks to the South African knife community for JD Ellis and his mad skills as a knife maker and thanks to the generosity of Steven for hosting the Blade Show GAW.

Better pics on the way but here's a little better shot that shows the colors better.

Congrats Ted!!! That is a beauty! Love the blue!:thumbsup:

I've always wanted a knife from Dan Graves. I either didn't see the one or more times than not was just late in posting "I'll take It" well earlier this week it all worked out and this BEAUTIFUL Drop Point Damascus/Stag fixed blade arrived today.

The ladder Damascus is 1080 and 15n20 and I absolutely love this knife.

Wow- it's kinda freakish just how much our tastes are the same Paul my friend.
Dan is a fantastic Cutler and I admire his work greatly -have done for quite some time.
That knife is a Stunner as Kiteman has already expressed! Whew! Looking forward to seeing that in a couple of months

Just beautiful Paul. Well done my man!

Duncan, Harry and Alan, thank you for your compliments, I appreciate it.

MJ & eisman, great #15 additions and I love those pushbutton also:cool::thumbsup:

I ordered a bunch of knives at the end of March, and have gradually been "debuting" them in this thread (and in other relevant threads). Here are some canoes I purchased that have yet to be "officially unveiled".

All three are Rough Riders. The top one is a RR mini canoe with faux tortoise shell covers. My only example of this cover material was a big tortoise shell sunfish in the past, but someone selected it in a GAW I ran; it's good to have an example back in my knife holdings. The covers look remarkably different in different light; mark side and pile side also differ in their coloring. Here are some illustrative pics of those differences:

The middle knife in the first photo is a "Masonic" canoe. I like the blue bone, I like the shield (nice color, cool geometry tools, and a partial "personal monogram"), and I like the motto and repeat of the symbol in the blade etch. I'm not a Free Mason (and I think my church may historically be opposed to membership in that organization ), but I'm definitely a fan of the knife.

The bottom knife in the first photo is a tasteful white bone RR canoe. I've seen some commercial scrimshaw kits, and if I pick one up sometime, this canoe is a potential canvas for my artistic endeavors! ;)
