These two came my way this week. The Boker Barlow with Grenadill Wood covers and 440C blade steel was purchased locally. The Tidioute Rust Red 13 Whittler was purchased on the exchange.

Beautiful Blade !
Thanks for sharing you've inspired me to pick up a similar one .
I just ordered a Smooth white bone with C-75 high carbon steel.
I needed a new Barlow for my Hitch and Timber pocket sheath and this beautiful Barlow should be a perfect fit. Thanks again for sharing that beauty!
Here's the one I just ordered to go with my Hitch & Timber.

Love that Opignel, Gary!

I just received my third knife from Austin Goldman today. I wasn't supposed to buy anymore knives for the rest of the year, but Austin started doing knives in .071" AEB-L, and I just had to have one.

And here it is with its heftier cousin (.139" CPM154CM) that I picked up last year.

I can't wait to start slicing it up in the kitchen!

Here's an Opinel #8 with inox blade, oak handle, and boars; I've named it Opignel . It's a gift from my daughter, who has returned from Spain after living there the past 6 years.:cool:

Very cool Opinel, GT! I like the boars on the handle. Are they silk-screened or burned? Either way, nice touch!

I always enjoy seeing the knives you've been gifted by your daughter. She has good taste. I guess you raised her well. :D

Gary that's a great Opinel! Quite unique as I have never saw one with the Bulls before. Congrats on your daughters return home! :)

Been looking for a dressy little knife to slip into a suit pants pocket for those times when you likely won't need a knife but is still quite capable if called upon and just feels good to have in your pocket. I think this little damascus Swayback Gent fits the bill.

Just picked up this GEC 92 spear blade. I really like it because it looks a little unusual and feels just great. Fantastic walk and talk, IMHO everything a real20170805_170432_resized.jpg traditional knife should be !

My Boker Barlow in smooth white bone arrived today and its exceeded my expectations . Nice walk and talk and just a all around great blade and it fits perfect in my Hitch &Timber leather sheath. Hair popping
sharp out of the box also .
Thanks again Half stop for sharing yours or I would of never known about them.

Mike, Shawn, Greg, Ron, & Barrett, thanks for acknowledging Opignel and my daughter's return!:) She gets a kick out of seeing these comments (even though she rolls her eyes at me frequently)!

Greg, the boars appear to me to be burned into the handle. Any idea how that would be done in some economical and timely way? I can't believe they have a room full of people with little woodburning kits decorating these handles one pig (or deer or trout or whatever) at a time!
