Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Its been a good week.

started off with these 2. New Case Red Bone Peanut and an Old Case Red Bone Barlow (seen here in the process of being rebladed)

here's the Barlow finished

Then I got this Hibbard Spencer and Bartlett OVB Barlow in amazing shape

and finally while prowling around for old toothpicks to use as project knives I found this imperial gem.

Lemme, that's a cool Imperial you found as well! There were 4 in the series, as I recall. Pheasant, dog, fish and another bird. The actual stock number is 903-OS, from the Sportamaster series in the late 1950s. Great find!

Hey Singin -

thanks so much for the info. I wasn't sure at first if it was hand painted or not. Well now I'll be keeping an eye out for the others. It goes without saying that this one is not going to be modded.

You're welcome, these are known today as the foil wrapped cell hunting/fishing knives. I have taken my share of these apart over the last several years. Tricky but while putting my displays together, some of the knives I found needed a bit of cleaning and some trading out of the cell wraps. Not easy to do without damaging the wraps but it can be done, if you have the patience of Job!

I got on Mike's waiting list about a week ago but I found this one at an online dealer and I couldn't help myself.

Mike Alsdorf Gunstock Interframe with Onyx/Obsidian inlays.

Had a few nice mail calls recently and this what happened...

Sugarleaf You must have Special Powers to reel in that lot! Or else, hit-man connexions to warn off competitors:eek::D:D

Two outstanding Soups, bloody! Also like that smooth Yellow, pretty and rare. Well done:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

I just got back from picking up my dog at my grandmother's house, and she gave me an old imperial diamond edge prov. RI USA "serpentine" jack knife (i think) it has a main clip blade with a small pen blade. Its got black laminated wood scales. With a shield that has a arrow going through a DE. Its my first traditional and i like it :)

I really like Mike's Interframes. You don't see too many makers doing those. Ron Lake comes to mind.

Thanks for saying that Will! Yes, I am very happy with the soup bones I received. The photos, really don't do them justice. They are just so much more stunning in person.

Absolutely no special powers at all. In fact, I do it the hard way and haven't received one single knife directly from Charlie. I've tried messaging him a couple of times when I started searching for my second TC and also when the Washington Jacks rolled out, with no luck. I'm sure the poor guy gets a million requests and since I'm not a prolific poster here on the forum those opportunities aren't even available to me. Since I started focusing on collecting TC's just a short while ago, there has not been a regular "run", so my collection has simply been built on the kindness of other forum members and a couple of very nice dealers. I am just glad Charlie is continuing to bring these to market and looking forward to the next regular "run", as the #15 has fast become my favorite pattern.

Haha! I'll think about it, Al. ;)

Now I need a Stew's blade and the ever-elusive one from my sig line and I'll be done... until the next run. :D
