I really should not have looked at this. That Ram's Horn version is unreal, Todd!

Whew - I'm relieved to see that there aren't any left, or my willpower (and my lunch money) would have evaporated...:D

Ha Ha... It is a nice traditional and with super steel... just wow.

Frank, your sowbelly's bone covers look terrific, and I very much agree on the mark side sheepfoot nick. Oddly, Case doesn't do them all that way. I'm a sucker for their silver script shielding, so I bought this one even though it does NOT have the mark side sheepfoot nick. I don't use my left thumb anyway-- I just flip the knife upside down and open the sheepfoot with my right thumb downward. Works well enough.

Andi, that Esquire is super good-looking!! What is the name of the handle color? Congrats on the arrival of your BF Knife; the stag looks great. Less than 2 weeks to go for your bet; stay strong  Do you have anything special planned once "time expires"? Will you carry all your knives simultaneously for a week? Will you look like a German Christmas tree decorated in all your knives? :D

Mort, looks like you're winning big at auctions! Very nice assortment of barrows!!:thumbup:

I want one of these!!

Ok, since Frank and Jeff showed their beautiful Sowbellies, I guess I'll show mine. The TESTED XX, This was a gift from a good knifer buddy.

My birthday knife came and my wife decided that I could open the package early.

A 2014 Case sowbelly in Chestnut Bone and CV.

►I really like the Case interpretation of the Sowbelly pattern. With the sheepsfoot nail nick on same side as the master blade, I can open all the blades with my right thumb. (My left thumb nail seems to have a perpetual split in it, and the sheepsfoot is the blade I use most often.)
►At 3 3/4" closed length, it's large enough to be my weekend chore knife, but it's thin enough I can carry it other times.
►There are some really odd Case bone colors, but their take on "Chestnut" is really pleasing to my eye.
►The only flaw in any of the fit and finish is that the springs are ever so slightly not flat when either the sheepsfoot or spey is open. Not enough out of alignment to be a bother.
► Came with good working edges on the blades. A quick touch-up on the Sharpmaker at 20° per side and they are scary sharp.

Happy birthday, Frank! That sowbelly is a fine present. (That pattern is one I could probably enter in a different thread about knives that feel better than they look. I've always thought the sowbelly looks unusual - at least for a stockman - but it sure does feel good in my hand!)

Beauty, singin, thanks for adding to the sow party! Here's a magnum one (4⅜" closed) in ram's horn and German stainless.
This one has my favorite nick placement, right under the peak of the clip (like on many peanuts).

Nice pair Linus. I also have one in ebony and I'm surprised more people aren't fond of this pattern.

The Ebony #56EO single blade Weaver Jack came home to join it's Rust Red Micarta brother :p

Those weavers are sure special Linus. Wish I hadn't miss the boat on them.

A friend of mine sent me a great surprise Christmas gift earlier in the week. Apparently he though my collection needed more product from his home nation.

Just picked up these guys... The pull is a little stiffer than I care for, but other than that, pretty happy with both of them
