Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I just need a couple of sawcuts, a few longpulls, a couple of PPP's, a couple more sheepsfoots, a non-anniversary soup bone and I'll be done until the next run

This yellow Queen Stockman. This one comes with a nice story concerning another member of BF. But that's another day when I can type better.

Andi, that Esquire is super good-looking!! What is the name of the handle color? Congrats on the arrival of your BF Knife; the stag looks great. Less than 2 weeks to go for your bet; stay strong  Do you have anything special planned once "time expires"? Will you carry all your knives simultaneously for a week? Will you look like a German Christmas tree decorated in all your knives? :D

Mort, looks like you're winning big at auctions! Very nice assortment of barrows!!:thumbup:

Finally got a yellow CV Peanut. Sorry for the weird pic, I was messing around with the editor on Photobucket.

My birthday knife came and my wife decided that I could open the package early.

A 2014 Case sowbelly in Chestnut Bone and CV.

►I really like the Case interpretation of the Sowbelly pattern. With the sheepsfoot nail nick on same side as the master blade, I can open all the blades with my right thumb. (My left thumb nail seems to have a perpetual split in it, and the sheepsfoot is the blade I use most often.)
►At 3 3/4" closed length, it's large enough to be my weekend chore knife, but it's thin enough I can carry it other times.
►There are some really odd Case bone colors, but their take on "Chestnut" is really pleasing to my eye.
►The only flaw in any of the fit and finish is that the springs are ever so slightly not flat when either the sheepsfoot or spey is open. Not enough out of alignment to be a bother.
► Came with good working edges on the blades. A quick touch-up on the Sharpmaker at 20° per side and they are scary sharp.

Agreed on both points. I bought a SBJ in "Cayenne Bone" years ago that barely made it out of the box before it got sent back. It hurt my eyes to look at it! But they still do a fine job on "Chestnut", and the deep color on that sowbelly harkens back to the vintage Case days, for sure. Beautiful knife, Frank - congrats and happy birthday!
