Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

That's not so bad. I bought two 66's and never intended to use them. I originally had a user first but sold it due to the light snap and later bought another which was better. So that's four I bought and one that I traded for. There's still more 66's I plan to buy.

I totally get it. That's how I am with beer scouts and crown lifters. I have multiples of them but I only EDC an od green crownlifter.

The #89 is perfect. I would have preferred a sheep foot main on the S&M..fancier bolsters and different covers/jigging ..but this is a good one. Centered, solid lock up. Steel spring spacer. Tight springs/liners l. It's got some heavy rubs..but the main is centered and the others are free from liner/blade fellow.

The blade stock on the main is very thick..w/ a beautiful distal taper, as all the blades..super thin and fine at edge and tip. Really well done grinds.

Matters not. Picked this up to carry and knock around..the opposite cover is really mismatched.. pretty much all black..a misfit..probably why I like it...and probably why it stayed on the shelf. Feel fortunate to have found it.

These two have come in this week so far. Others are expected Friday.

2015 Case SS Sowbelly with jigged Olive Drab composite covers. The fit and finish is excellent - no gaps, cracks, chips, drips, runs, or errors. The covers on this one are a bit blah but it looked so forlorn sitting there with the other knives on the web page I felt I had to rescue it. It should make a good worker what with the composite covers.

2001 Case CV 6375 Large Stockman with Amber Bone covers. The fit and finish is very good. I had had one of these with Amber Bone covers but passed it on to another member here at BF some time ago but the thread currently running about the 6375 Large Stockman made me miss it so I got this one.

FR, Frank Buster, Pearl Congress.
love the pattern, but the only congress I have/had was a 4" Queen that is not that pocket friendly..this 3.5 Rooster is...in my pocket as I type.

The Pearl is beautiful..pics don't do it justice..plus, it was hard to resist having my old personal ID # issued by the Agency engraved :)

I bought this beautiful old unmarked 6" butcher off a form member, and it arrived today.
The funny thing is that I was looking up something a few days ago on Google and just happened across a picture of a knife like it.
It turns out to be an A.C.co and should be about 100 years old at least.
as far as I know the American cutlery company reorganized some things and shifted to making kitchen scales back I the 20's.

I made a mistake with the sharpening stone as you can see, but i was using little pressure and it won't take much use / patina to cover that up in no time.
If I stick it into a potato for about 30 minutes you won't even see it anymore.

I was looking to try a new pattern so why not step out of my comfort zone and go for a single blade 48. First off I was lucky to snag a SFO by @waynorth Charlie Campagna. It is a very well made, handsome knife with a diamond shield. I was thinking it would make a great kitchen slicer and I'm sure it will. In the meantime I'm going to carry it because every time I try a new pattern I discover how well they work, personal prejudices aside. Here it is.
