Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

New knife I just picked up. This is the last Tuna Valley knife made from the Queen factory. It was just released in June 2018. 1 of only 5 made. Carpenter Whittler pattern, in Buckeye Burl wood, with copper bolsters.

I've got to chime in to, that was a great day at the hardware store. When you get the time how about a picture of all of them with The knives open. I really like the box for the 72's as well.

Thank you. I like the 72 box as well, all the old 1/2 dozen boxes are neat. I'll get pictures later and will put them in the "camillus and schrade of old get short shrift nowadays" thread.

Jason, that's a nice knife. Bobby has been making slipjoints for a long time, very reasonable too. He alway had a nice table of models at Blade, before he got "discovered" :D

Just showed up yesterday. 9cm lock back Laguiole. This one has the extra file work and some real nice French Walnut, advertised as gunstock quality. Although the knife is 3.5", it seems small. It's very slim and goes almost unnoticed in the pocket. I think I'm going to like it!

It's good at slicing a baguette! I just realized I didn't take a shot of the pile side. The walnut matches perfectly and is just as nice as the mark side.

GEC 89 in American Walnut:

Perhaps because of my Cocobolo addiction I haven't really paid any attention to Walnut but these two will change that. So much going on, on two slender knives. Definitely have to keep my eyes open now!!!

Thanks Jerry! He is a great guy to deal with. I think my order only took 3 weeks total. After I requested the build I became a little concerned I might not like it but so far so good. It's a very ergonomic pattern with a nice thin grind. This thing is built to cut comfortably for long periods if need be.
