I always liked the GEC Lady Leg knives. I don't have one, will probably never get one, but they are cool.Thank you for being an Enablerjoeradza . Because of you my friend , I saw your pictures of yours and liked it and showed it to my wife and she really liked it . Now she has 3 Leg Knives .

Glad to help Harry. I like the extra embellishment on the mark side of the shoe. Like an old button closure.Thank you for being an Enablerjoeradza . Because of you my friend , I saw your pictures of yours and liked it and showed it to my wife and she really liked it . Now she has 3 Leg Knives .

Went to a local gun show last Saturday looking for knives (cheaper than guns!), and saw this at one table. It's a souvenir of Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953, although the card has the date 1952, the year she became Queen. I saw a picture (thanks to @Jack Black) of a different knife with "1953" imprinted on it. The coronation took months of planning, and took place on June 2, 1953, I believe. The background in the photo I posted is the leather cover of an old English Bible (Authorized Version, of course) from Oxford University Press. The Anglophile in me said I had to have it.Please share the story behind this one!
Although it took a long time to get my knives back from Case...they sent me nearly perfect replacements (like this one).

...and I also won this in a GAW from a great cutlery outfit that apparently I am not allowed to mention because they aren't on the list (?) but they are the shop who is distributing the CSC'sA Bear & Son Blackbeard Trapper...something a little different for sure.

Seems you have a special knife there JD!! Being one of Queen's last and one they apparently were considering for production, it's a piece of cutlery history. Looks pretty sweet too!! Enjoy!!! -JamesI've said it a few times on this forum, I always thought that a 3-1/2" single blade slim trapper (shortened GEC #48) would be a perfect watch pocket carry knife. It would be slim and elegant looking with a very useful blade shape and length. Such a knife would disappear in the watch pocket, but that long, slim, pointy blade would be up to just about any mundane task that I encounter during my average day. I just didn't think they existed untilredsparrow sent me a message about a special knife that he'd been keeping an eye on. I really appreciate him passing the information along to me so that I could purchase what I think might be an as-close-to-perfect "carry knife" (for me). That's what makes the Porch so special and different than any other place on the interwebs. I received the knife in the mail this afternoon and couldn't wait to share it with all of you.
The rare single blade Queen #51...

Thanks again. But now I'm not brave enough to carry it. It's the never ending battle between carry or collect... LolSeems you have a special knife there JD!! I got in trouble for posting shops that weren't on that list before. I don't know how it is going to be possible to discuss the new release of CSC knives without mentioning that shop but I just don't want to get my post deleted (like when I was new here). It is a great shop they just don't sell GECs so not as popular with most here. That Black Beard is very cool..
There is a link to that site posted in open on the first CSC thread.?.
I know what you mean, I debated about writing "cutlery history" for fear it might make it harder to carry. It's yours my friend, throw it in your pocket and enjoy or if you need to... I will ever so gladly help you out. Thanks again. But now I'm not brave enough to carry it. It's the never ending battle between carry or collect... Lol
Never fear, they all get carried and used sooner or laterI know what you mean, I debated about writing "cutlery history" for fear it might make it harder to carry. It's yours my friend, throw it in your pocket and enjoy or if you need to... I will ever so gladly help you out.![]()
