Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Neat knife Jeff, you can tell it's related to one I picked up about a week ago.

Well, I had a successful sale of some traditionals, so decided to pick up another Frank Buster Celebrated Fight'n Rooster for the growing collection. Pinned shield, proud domed pins and gorgeous jigged bone. It has some gray patina on the tangs, but otherwise it's mint new. An extremely well made knife.

Mr. Frank designed some of the best blade etches out there, for his knives! Just to tell you guys, the club knives are the most sought after ones! Simply because, but not limited to, those beautiful etches! He and Jim Parker were very close friends and would often trade knives and talk about what they were going to design on the next ones they were having made. The 1980s were a pretty special time in the pocket knife industry!

Thanks for the info Perry, I am really impressed with the blade etch. Mine was a Craigslist pickup....a real bargain!

Very nice stag on that gunstock, cc, a beautiful FR. Dr. Scott, these Frank Buster knives were made in Solingen, Germany.

As a newer member to the forum, and to traditional knives in general, I haven't really got a large collection to speak of. I just started purchasing/collecting late last year and haven't posted any pics yet so these are all pretty much my newest additions.

GB, if you never bought another traditional (blasphemy I know) you already have a great collection for a lifetime...very nice:thumbup:

Bill - That is a nice #77 you got there, you will like it. I have one and I love mine:)

Vita Brevis - That is some beautiful Stag on that German Eye Copperhead:thumbup:

GBPacker - You have a very nice collection started there:thumbup:

I completely agree with Paul and other brothers here! You have some of the nicer production knives that have recently been built! I'd say you're very well on your way.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I have a lot to learn about traditionals still, but I know I'm in the right place :)

Yes, a wise starting selection, particularly like the Wall St. Tidioute Green Bone, that's a Wharncliffe then?

Modest arrival yesterday but I fancy it. CASE Brown Delrin Senator from 1990

What a splendid beauty, Jeff! Love the shield and bone, not to mention the etch and blade selection. Wow!

Thanks, Gev, it was lust at first sight! I was even more pleased when I got it to find the pulls a near perfect 5-6 on all four blades. Interestingly, the shield has a pin in the middle of each "lobe," faintly visible from the outside. And I know it was never used, because each of the blades is as dull as a butter knife. I may just leave it that way, I've got so many I already carry.
