Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I bought this one at a very good price, and almost strictly for the deep, sharp jigging.
Also, you don't see many Coke bottle jacks with a copperhead bolster.

Sometimes I like to carry a small fixed blade, and I'd been eyeing the A.G.Russell Woodswalker for years, so I finally ordered one. It's pretty small, and feels rather like a paring knife. I hope to really get a chance to try it out and see if it's useful when I go camping later in the month. Of course, I'll bring larger bushcrafty knives too, but it might be just the thing for whittling sticks to roast marshmallows around a campfire. :) I'll report back on how it does.

I had one that we used in the kitchen for years. It made a great paring knife. One day it wasn't there. We speculate that my better half (couldn't have been me ) somehow dropped it in the trash. I've been meaning to get another.

I've also been interested in the Woods Walker for years. It'd be nice to hear your impressions after some use.

Been there done that... Quite a decent kitchen knife got mixed up with veg trimmings on a newspaper, bundled up and oblivion:( Or was it alien abduction`? Possibly feline....

Woodswalker looks very nice but a bit small maybe? One of my favourite Small Fixed is the Hess Knifeworks Small Caper which has a thin broad blade, great for outdoor work and kitchen prep, yet compact and comfortable in the hand.

On a trip to visit my Dad back in Wisconsin. He started going through his dresser drawer and pulling some knives out to send back with me. His old Western he bought when he was 15 at a local hardware store and this knife he got when he worked at the Dubuque Packing Company. He gave me several others in a box I’ll have to go through when I get home.
