Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Arrived today, a full day early. :)
Marbles MR278 "DEMO" knife and a Bundeswehr M1212 110 mm copy of the Cold War Era West German issue SAK.

First impressions/reviews in the Rough Rider and Related thread.

A second Marbles MR278 is on the way, a warranty replacement for one I received with a broken backspring.
I expect it to arrive Monday or Tuesday. :)

A while back I sent off a shrunken black plastic handled camillus 70 cattle knife to @glennbad. I wanted the ivory look but pre ban elephant is very hard to get so Glenn sourced a piece of mammoth that mimics the clean white color of elephant as much as possible. He did perfect in my opinion. It looks wonderful. The shield was existing and it has great blades with factory edges. Very happy to finally have an American made ivory cattle knife in the collection.

He also made it look much more distinguished with some new nickel silver liners.

Here with the ebony 70 Glenn did for me a while back I finally have an ebony and ivory pair. What a fine pair, and the only pair of camillus 70's like it as far as I know.

Those are fantastic! Congratulations.
The one on the bottom joined the group today. I really have a soft spot for these Schrade made Buck 303’s

Nice bunch of 303s. Do you mean Camillus? I believe Schrade only made them the first year or so. They have grooved bolster and Swindon key construction.

Hi r8shell,

nope these are Schrade 303. Schrade made the 301 and 303 starting in 66 until Camillus got the contract in 71. The model you are thinking of with the groves bolsters was the knife that would become the 301 and yes it was only made one year with the grooved bolsters. The next year they made the 301 and 303 and continued to do so until the Camillus take over. They both used the Swindon key construction which is what lead to them losing the contract. With the buck lifetime warranty those Schrade knives proved to be expensive to repair so Buck went in search of a construction method that allowed repair to be accomplished much cheaper and Camillus offered them that.

Cool, thanks for the info. Yeah, I was thinking of the 301, and didn't realize Schrade made the 303s for that long. I might have to dig out my old Bucks and give them a closer look. Maybe there's a Schrade in there. ;)

This one came to me...and for the right price. A Whittingslowe navy type army knife...bit neglected and well used but ready for action.

Amazing quartet. All of them are all-stars. I’m especially impressed by the jigging on your 48.

Thanks Travis! That 48 was one of the rare releases that sold out fast back in the day. I have always wanted one. I love the jigging and variation of the autumn color GEC uses, always been my favorite color bone.
