Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

My interpretation of a Melon Tester....G.David Laguiole in Juniper, 11cm arrived today. Entirely pleased

Thanks Vince, been very pleased with G.David's knives. They've just moved to a new factory, quality is good, customer-service from Christophe is first rate. Nor are prices too high, these are on the level of CASE or even GEC quality so they're not custom but very decent reliable knives. I can recommend them and they have a large range.

Regards, Will

Nice score, Bill. :cool::thumbsup:
The #76 is one of my all-time favorite Jacks.
I don't use mine very much because of how rare they are.
Thanks John. I'm not too sure what I'll do.o_O I carry most of my knives and very gently use them. I like keeping them looking new (within reason)

Onebigbill Onebigbill Thanks Bill, the French do file-work really tastefully and it's a long tradition. Juniper has this wonderful pepper resin smell too:thumbsup: Had an old Juniper bush die off in my country place and the dried wood made some aromatic fire wood:cool:

That's a fine Outlaw and a rare bird too, mine is Acyrlic but you seldom see any of them whatever the scales.

Regards,

Will

This is my latest. I am a big GEC nut but summers require stainless most of the time. I've always enjoyed Case XX knives and own a few stockman patterns but have never had a 6318 pattern. Most of the recent production Case XX knives that I have seen looked more pink than red to me so they have been a no-go. I found this one and the color and sheen seem to be more what a red Case XX should look like. I'm glad it has the regular clip blade as opposed to the french clip. The Spring on the main clip blade isn't as snappy as I would like but I think it will do.IMG_0469.jpg IMG_0468.jpg

my apologies for the dirty hands. I've been working on my diesel forklift today.
Take care all!

Wife just sent me a pic of today’s mail call...I have no memory of ordering what ever is in these but if I were a betting man I would say they are Buck contract stockman!View attachment 1361263

Edit: went home for lunch to find out what the mystery packages contained. One was a gift I bought for my wife and completely forgot about. The other was from my favorite son-in-law! He’s out of town for work so isn’t gonna make it to the annual “pop bbqs his own meal “ Father’s Day get together but wanted to tell me how lucky he is to “ have 2 pops!”
He’s a damn good kid and as close to a Son as he could be.View attachment 1361321

That's a very likeable choice, looks to me like an older CASE from around 1998, I've got a Mini Copperlock with the same shield and it's dark, not pink mush :D:thumbsup:

I've learned, over time, "never say never". This is reinforced with the arrival of my new, blue, Texas Toothpick... A GEC #12 in aqua blue camel bone, Tidioute trim.
I have always wondered to myself... "who is it that actually LIKES those toothpicks" ? As luck would have it.... I am one of those folks.
This is just about the perfect size... fills the hand, but doesn't seem like a big knife. And, it doesn't feel dainty, like some of the smaller toothpicks do.. It has that same good, ergonomic feel that the Laguiole's have, but with a slightly slimmer cross section. One of these in stag might be perfection...
