Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I've been curious about these... Care to do a small write up? I've had a few slip joint LCs, and I think that pattern is *a perfect user pattern. It's robustness always made me feel like it didn't need to lock, but the fact that this one does seems like it might be a different class of knife.
Really it’s just a lockback and a solid one at that. This is a robust knife and feels great in hand. I’m not the latest and greatest at writing reviews just being honest. But with that being said I’d be more then happy to answer every and any questions you might have.

My newest addition is one of GEC's kitchen style knives.. they call it a "slicer".... wharncliffe style blade, 3 1/4" cutting edge, and a natural micarta handle with a utilitarian shape.
The tang says K42 SS, the kitchen model 42 with SS blades. I believe they said it was 440C.
It feels perfectly usable in hand... I'm looking forward to putting it to work..

Rough Ryder RR2103 4” closed with aluminum handles. Typical RR quality, which is to say, excellent. Very sharp with about a 5-6 pull. Back spring is flush when open and closed and just ever so slightly depressed at half stop. Blade is centered. As others have said the bolsters are just painted. The aluminum is not for everyone and will never be mistaken for any traditional heirloom covers but it is a well fitted, well put together traditional slip joint. 916D714E-CCB1-4FDB-B3D8-F45CF22DB12D.jpeg
Edit: Several folks have commented that it might look better without the bright blue color so I took a pic and did a b/w conversion by desaturating the photo.93046281-E0C7-4BFA-89F1-06AE0994F3A6.jpeg
