Found one I’ve been looking for yesterday at the gun show, a used but good condition Case Mako (P158 LSSP) from 1983 (year Case transitioned from 3 handle pins to no handle pins in the Pakkawood handles). Good enough shape to own and enjoy but worn enough to put it right to work (after cleaning up and sharpening the edge, cleaning out the blade well, and oiling the joint). OH

New GEC 73 in African Rosewood just arrived. Boy am I glad to have this in my collection. I am blown away. Goldilocks in size, action, & fit/finish. This will see a lot of use. The pile side is more subdued, but that is the only knock I can think of.

Bonus - my wife actually encouraged me to buy a new knife after I landed my new job. This is what I got.

Hadn’t bought a new knife in months until this past weekend, sort of uncorked the genie. Was in a lumberyard (customer) showroom this afternoon and glanced at the Case Knives display cabinet - another new pocketknife joined the fold! Decided to give a Mini-Trapper pattern a genuine try (I like the main blade style). Might modify the Spey later into a Sheepfoot. OH
Ps. He didn’t have the yellow Delrin in SS, so I had to take CV.
