Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

My 91 year old dad often hit local garage sales in the 70’s and early 80’s. Last night he found all these in one of his toolboxes and asked if I wanted them.

Cleaning, oiling and sharpening these will keep me busy this winter.

Wow!! Especially that easy open!! I think your dad needs hug? Maybe a firm handshake… just for preserving these! What a find

It’s been a crazy week already and it’s only Tuesday! 🤣 It got significantly better when I got home and found this beauty in my mailbox. I’ve recently discovered what a great pattern the 18 is and a few weeks back I made a comment in a post about how I would like to get one in synthetic Ebony, CV steel and a punch. A few hours later I got a PM from Mike @Crazy Canuck letting me know he had that exact knife and would like to send it to me. The generosity of the porch is amazing. Thanks so much Mike, I love it!View attachment 1929837
Great knife and a great gesture from Mike. I almost ordered that one last week but I was able to resist. 😁

This 2016 Shot Show single-blade Case Sowbelly has passed through at least a couple pairs of hands on its way to me. I've regretted not picking one of these up a couple of times now; I decided to not regret it again. ;)

Love the looks of that cattle knife sir !! Very utilitarian !

Thank you, I appreciate it. I really enjoy the slipjoints that Boker is capable of producing, and these Cattle knives answer the mail for those (like me!) who enjoy having a larger knife at times. I recommend them very much!

I recently finally got to meet my brother from another mother (literally... we have the same biological father). I've been in touch with him for the past several years, but never got to make the trip over to Mississippi to visit. He happens to be into guns and knives, just like I am... nurture vs nature? 😂Before we left, he gave me several pocket knives... he has literally 7 or 8 cowboy-hat-sized boxes full of them... he is particularly attracted to 4 blade congress knives, and Case seahorse whittlers.. he probably has 30 or 40 of those, including 3 (!) stag versions... 🤤 He also apparently likes Bokers and Henckels..
Anyway... the two I'm carrying today are gifts from my brother... I'll post pics of the others soon. The Henckels stag barlow, stainless... and the Boker Tree Brand half whittler in stainless and Thuya wood.

I’m getting jealous. Why don’t I have such relatives? 😂

Congratulations on finally getting to meet your brother! Very exciting! Nice knives as well. 😎👍

Just received this stag mid-lockback Joker from Gary 5K Qs 5K Qs . It started out with me sending him a RR tater skin sodbuster work knife and as a learned mathematics professor it was impossible for him to have an unbalanced equation so he returned the favor by gifting me this beautiful Joker. Thank you very much my friend. 126C74B8-DD8A-4F49-9827-8E5E729C0E95.jpeg

Treasures for sure... so cool you got connected with your brother. 🤠
I was adopted, and I've always wondered if I had siblings running around out there, and what they might be like.
A friend I play cards with was adopted. 10-15 years ago, when he was in his fifties, he discovered a whole bevy of relatives in New Mexico. I think he's enjoyed it a lot. He's been out to NM at least 3 or 4 times since.

My older brother and I were both adopted at about 2 or 3 years old... this brother came along before us, and we didn't even know he existed until a few years back. We have also met our half brothers and sister from our mother's side... so we've got quite a few half sibs, and it has been great to make contact with them. My parents (that adopted us) are still, and will always be our parents (both have passed), but it's good to meet biological sibs... its been a positive experience all around. PM me if you want any more details... don't want to bore everyone here with it... 😁

Received an Okapi Biltong today. Can not suggest anyone purchasing one. I was initially pleased, but somehow by opening and closing the knife the tang scratched the spring and is now incredibly gritty and grindy to open or close, with absolutely no way to fix it. Spring is apparently not of quality material. Waste of money.

My friend @New River Knife Works came through for me bigtime, and I was able to get my hands on these two beautiful Bokers! Don't mind the tape residue, I'm already putting it to work!

Besides the fact that they look to be really well made, the wood is outstanding and to top it off their logo shield on the wood covers is a great addition.
