Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Thanks! I'm not the most knowledgeable, but I'll answer the best I can. The pull strength is what I would consider about ideal, definitely on the firm side though (6-7??). As for the walk and talk: it is smooth, but judging it next to my GEC's it could be smoother. Very nice strong snap though. No half-stop.
Nice. Love that they tuned it toward the firm side 👌🏼

Boker Stockman pattern (single blade) in copper/burlap . This was a dealer exclusive from the big knife pusher in TN. The Stockman and the Barlow caught my eye immediately when I pulled the catalog out of the mailbox, but when I went to snag one they were already out of stock. I kept checking back (not obsessively or anything if that's what you're thinking ;)) until finally the Stockman became available again. Definitely pleased with the purchase.

Beautiful stockman. I love Boker but these weren’t even on my radar…until now! 😄👍

You know when you overpay for a mixed lot because see something that may be a diamond in the rough. Sometimes you're right. The lovely old Cattaraugus teardrop was that diamond. A little TLC and into the pocket she goes.
It doesn't have a pattern number on the tang. Does anyone know when Cattaraugus started adding pattern numbers?

This Ohta is so close to being amazing. The walk and talk only get a 7/10 for me (edit: 6/10 after further review, it simply didn't improve after letting it wear in and the original 7/10 was trying to be happy with a new purchase, it's unacceptable walk and talk for a $130 knife imo, I have cheaper knives that are basically glass smooth), the snap open and pull are good but it's just not as smooth as a GEC and the snap closed could be better. The fit and finish overall is great, but there are what I consider huge gaps at the filed end of the spring. It makes me think it's intentional/not considered a flaw by the maker, and I love the filework, so a bit conflicted about the gaps. Blade is tight, the cocobolo is really well finished, knife is light and thin. Around 3.85" closed, about 2.85" of cutting edge, blade is 0.07" at the spine, knife weighs 44g

This angle doesn't show the gap much, and it's not like it's THAT visible if you don't look for it (can't feel it next to the filework), so I don't think it bothers me too much.
