That is a true treasure. Fantastic.

I had a couple of lookers delivered the other day.

Hess Knives Whitetail in Maple burl. This is going to be put away somewhere safe until my son is old enough to use it. I thought it would be cool to have it waiting when he starts asking about my redwood burl Tiburon. :)

And a Hess Knives Caper in cocobolo. I bought this one for myself... I just couldn't resist, lol. I'll probably pass it along though. It's more similar to my Albers fixed blade than I was expecting.

Fixall Fixall Superb move there stashing it  I got one of those Capers years ago in Burl and I've found it surprisingly useful as a food prep knife and small bushcraft duties, they fit the hand so well and come satisfyingly sharp.

Thanks, Will

have all trickled in over the last week or so. All with Ebony covers, all great knives. A. Wright has certainly stepped up their game. Very pleased with all of them.

Oh, and this one a couple/three weeks ago.

Thanks! Here's hoping he takes a bit of an interest. I have a bunch of goodies stashed away for him at this point, lol.

The Caper really does fit the hand well! It's finished incredibly well too. Hess Knives offer so much value for the money. :)

Le Thiers® Nature 11 cm Pocket Knife - Amboyna Burl with Swedish Stainless 14C28N blade and lock-back / end-lock. The "T" in the name acts as a nail nick, but the blade can be opened by pinching it, although it is a fingerprint magnet 😁

Special edition from SMKW and Böker.

It's gorgeous. I'm blown away by it.

I carry the Expedition barlow with me every day (except for today, by accident) but this one is incredible, too.

Nice acquisition. 👍 They did a great job with these IMHO.

My Expedition Barlow has been my most-carried knife since it arrived. (The single-blade Expedition Stockman might give it a run for the money.)

I wish they would make a proper 2-bladed barlow and 3-bladed stockman again with these materials. A 3-bladed expedition stockman would be "saugeil" as they say over there!

(Or maybe they are far north enough to say, "Schweinegeil" instead of "Sau." Germans are very specific about pigs.)
