Got a scout knife lot from EBay for me to clean up…

Am I going to regret selling four knives to buy this one?

I don’t think so.

Mike makes a good looking knife. From one of your pics in another thread it looked nice and thin behind the edge, too, and with a good sized sharpening choil — two things I always appreciate in a traditional pocket knife. (Edited to add: I guess I could’ve just scrolled further in this thread, where you posted the same photo.)

Just got these in today. Picked up off an online auction for cheap.

I have that same fixed blade Imperial, which I found in my great-grandma’s old tackle box years ago. It originally came paired with a Scout knife (gone by the time I got it) and a sheath that held both.

I picked up an Imperial Kamp King at a flea market a few years back to compete the set again.

I also had at least a couple of those black-handled Imperial Ireland lockbacks like you have on the bottom there as a kid in the 90s. I don’t have any of the big ones anymore, but I’ve still got a miniature keychain version.

That is awesome, thanks for the pictures. I saw the old Imperial fixed blades paired with the Kamp Kings in some of their old catalogs. It is neat to see a real world example

They’re nice little fixed blades, too. Thin behind the edge and easy to get razor sharp.

Yes, Mike pays careful attention to the things I like best in a knife—thin behind the edge, good choil, medium pull, crisp and smooth action.

Nice knife grouping.

It's always a special treat to have one of Grandma's knives. I didn't know my Great Grandparents, so I don't have any knife connections there. It seems Imperial also marketed the Kamp King with the Elk handled sheath knife in the same double sheath. When I received these from my old high school buddy, the sheaths were moldy and dried up so bad that they went straight to the trash (I wore gloves of course). I got the Kamp King cleaned up some and plan to pair it with a different Imperial, like the one shown in your image. The Elk knife is rusted so badly, it's being reserved for another project.20210513_104244-E14-DDS.jpg

Just brought this home from a local Antique Mall. New in original box 1986 Schrade Heritage in smooth bone. Really surprised to find this in such nice shape around here. Most knives are sharpened to tooth picks or rusty as heck. This goes great with the Kutmaster I found last month in excellent condition as well. I couldn't swing the GEC Muskrat, so I got blessed with a couple nice vintage stockmen to keep me company.

Now I'm not sure if this one should go in the pocket or not. I'm not one for safe queens, so if any Schrade collectors out there have an itch for this knife, PM me.
