Your opinions on Nutnfancy

He is a whore for his sponsors, biased and unreliable.

Care to prove where he's sponsored or receives any remuneration from knife companies for his reviews?? He's stated many times he gets no payment from any of the companies whose products he reviews, and that all knives he reviews are either purchased by him, or done at a knife store as a countertop review.

I've gone back and forth about him. He can be very redundant and most of his sayings are annoying. But he is very passionate about what he does and I can respect that. Ultimately, I end up watching a lot of his videos even if I don't agree with every opinion he gives.

here's an idea...

form an opinion and conduct your own personal review. if you end up disliking your purchase than sell the damn thing on ebay lol.

that's just my opinion of course.

Despite what people sometimes claim you cannot sell a used, non-limited, production knife at anything but a loss. When you factor in your time, shipping, and tax that loss can start to add up.

Most people don't have the time or money to cycle through knives forming their own opinion so they trust a reviewer to do the work for them.

I love his channel. He is my favorite knife reviewer. He supplies me with almost all the information I need.

I like his enthusiasm. I like the fact that he actually does outdoor field reviews. I like the consistency with which he reviews the products utilizing his (albeit repetitive and longwinded) talking points. I like the dedication he has to his project. Sure there are issues with his delivery, but then, we cant all be expected to agree with everyone on everything. Generally, useful information can be gleaned from his videos...if you are entertained or have the patience to sit through them. Generally, I am and I do.

Well said. That's pretty much how i feel about him.

I do like the fact that he generally explains very clearly what he likes and doesn't like about a blade and what functional category he thinks it goes in.

Go to Lowes.
Buy a 50ft piece of rope.
Tie one end to your front door.
Tie the other end to your belt.
Most knives never travel farther outside than the end of that rope!

At least Nutnfancy really gets out of the back yard and uses his knives for what they were intended for. Not in a garage or on a computer camping trip; in the wilderness.

And as for Mattallamerican, I don't know how old you are so I don't want to cut too deeply. Adults call that "armyman costume" a military uniform. You can only get a real one by stepping up to the plate and volunteering to "serve" your country. "Serve" [the verb], not to be confused with "being served," is not a word used much these days so you may have to look it up. The man behind Nutnfancy earned the right to wear whatever the hell he wants by "serving" his country [you] for 20 years (which is a totally long time dude!) He has been to places and done things that most will only read about in books while sitting in some book store cafe sipping a double shot caffe latte with a dust of cinnamon, whipped cream and sprinkles. [Note: some of the cafe's don't offer sprinkles but I'm told you can keep a small container in your manbag right next to your ipad!]

But instead of getting respect, generation Obama just uses their service as some punch line. Come to think of it, he probably earned lots of money with 20 years of service so in a funny sort of way, (using the Social Justice, Robinhood model,) he kind-of owes "you" something! Got to love that Social justice! But hey, at least he amused you with his costume!

So what were we talking about? Oh yeah, Nutnfancy videos, I like them!

And exactly who do you do a service when wearing an army costume? These days serving your country seems more about serving the weapons and oil lobby and the international bankers/businesses.
Take it up with each other in the political forums of B&F or whine and cheese.

I like nutn's videos too.

I have read and enjoined many of your posts and your reviews, however, that is entirely uncalled for. I suggest you take your own advice and make a post in whine and cheese.

Hi Mat, thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure what is uncalled for. I merely tried to point out that they could discuss their issues elsewhere. If there's anything you'd like to add, please pm me.
cheers

It seems to me that mostly everyone in here is just being a jealous hater.
His reviews are awesome and I don't see anyone else in here dedicating their time to share information to the public. Most of the gear he reviews he is given to review by friends and companies as well as viewers. The dude is mad informative and definetly has is an educated source in knife/gun/wilderness and he is willingly out there sharing what he knows with anyone willing to listen. How can you hate on the dude for trying to collect a little $change$. Now he might have gotten a little bit of a swollen head over the e-hype but whatever! If you can find me a better source for information on knives/guns on the internet please share...

I agree with Electrikhellfire, but I still watch him from time to time. I don't think he's a bad guy, and his videos are as informative as they are long.
