Your urban EDC, what do you tote?

Usually this. Plus a backpack full of practical goodies.

I work in NYC which is obviously a lot less violent and tamer these days than some of the places that I have heard about around the country. That said I have a backpack with me always, leatherman micra, peanut, pen and a water bottle.

Hackers...We are Anonymous. What do you think of when you see people wear them?

This question is not on topic ("general knife discussion") and I doubt you are going to get any answers you like. Certainly not from me.

Anyway, I carry:

Watch pocket: traditional slip joint, zippo
Front right: phone
Front left: iPod, pen
Back right: wallet
Back left: notebook
Waistband: modern folder clipped
Casio watch on wrist
Keys with stream light nano light and leatherman squirt on belt loop

I also carry a fixed blade (horizontal belt, pocket, neck) when I can. Sometimes I only carry either a traditional or a modern folder.

I usually have my book bag and some workout clothes.

I often have a Sheetz travel mug.

I live and work in the Urban Jungle.
Most days, including today, I carry this:

Except I recently gave away the Thrunite Ti and currently have a Fenix LD01 on the keychain. I'm anxiously awaiting a Beta QR to put there.
Also wear a watch on my wrist.

I have a bunch more stuff - multi tool, fixed blade knife, folding saw, fire starters, FAK, etc in a bag in the car.

Neckbeards. Parents' basements. Hot Pockets. Virginity. 4chan. Junior high students. Stuff like that. Then I lulz.

My urban EDC: SAK (Classic or Super Tinker), Leatherman Blast, Opinel, Fenix LD10, Bic, old skoola flip phone, extra cash, Altoids, terry washcloth.

I also would think "Hackers...We are Anonymous".

Why are you so careful about not carrying anything illegal, but then advertise you are a member of a terrorist group?

You may regret having "probable cause" of being a terrorist in your daily carry in Seattle, a city subject to attack.

Even if you are just searched entering a building, by having the mask you have identified yourself as an active member of Anonymous. You could be denied entry to a building for having the mask. If it's a federal building, your name, address and association with Anonymous could be recorded for Homeland Security...you are no longer Anonymous.

If you are seen wearing it, you give police probable cause to stop you and record your name, address and reason for being where you are at and claiming to be a member of Anonymous...you are no longer Anonymous.

There are members of this forum that are law enforcement, you may already have been identified to the government by admitting membership in Anonymous on this forum...you are no longer Anonymous.

But then, you could be a poser :)

Hit the nail on the head.

On topic, I usually stick with a sub 3" folder, a pen, and my wallet. Anything more is overkill in my opinion.

DING! DING! DING! We have a winner.

I live in Chicago. It's pretty urban. I carry some variation of a spyderco military (today was blue S90V), a shivworks disciple, something waved on my left side, a surefire fury, though I admit it is a bit large. Awaiting my prometheus AAA kickstarter flashlight to arrive for those times when I don't have a bag with me. Also, a tuffwriter UTCP.

A knife or two, sometimes a multitool or SAK, wallet, keys, flashlight, phone, and I need to start carrying a pen more regularly, but want to get one that is quality and I like.

Spyderco Co-Pilot gin-1 steel plain edge for when I need to go low pro. Or a BM 710. Or both! I used to carry my spyderco cricket with spyderedge but I lost it :-( so sad! When I am traveling in the ghetto of some random tropical country I go big with the Rajah II. I figure if everyone has a machete, at least I can carry my rajah. too bad it has aus-8 steel though! I hate that stuff.

Valid points. Yet Anon isn't a terrorist group, 99% of us are peaceful. Most people in Anon are known to the government just for buying the mask. I don't have anything against the law enforcers that do their job, it is the ones that you hear about on the news for brutality and such. I don't just flaunt my mask everywhere, if I am asked what I have in my bag I will happily show anybody. Also, I don't try to be careful about not carrying anything illegal.

Did you sand down the scales on that PM2?

I've got a basic set of things that I carry on my person: knives, SAK, mobile phone, keys (with a Fenix light), wallet, gun (one of my .357 Rugers) where legal. And then I've got several backpacks or briefcases pre-packed for my different activities.

All of my bags have a nice fountain pen (can't stand biros) and a pencil (those never run out of ink), a good notebook (I like thick paper and hard leather bound covers), books, a full size multitool (depends on the bag, SwissTool Spirit, LM Charge Tti, LM Supertool 200, etc.), a flashlight and spare batteries. Those bags that I use for trips have something to sharpen my knives with (a small diamond sharpener or something like that), tissues, disinfecting wipes and a first aid kit. In my gym backpack (I'm a wrestling coach) I've got a very comprehensive FAK because sometimes we train or compete in places where the hospital is not close by or they don't have certain supplies (a rather common occurance at public hospitals in a 3rd world country like mine).

It sounds like a lot of crap, but I keep everything as small and compact as possible and use rather small backpacks.

I smell a "What's Your Favorite EDC Mask?" thread coming to Whine & Cheese in the near future...:D
