I'm not really interested in any of the new ZT knives except the ZT0770CF.
I'm not interested in ANY ZT knives except the 0770CF. Whether the 0770CF actually portends a new breed of knife in the ZT lineup or nothing more than an anomaly remains to be seen . . . just like the knife itself.

Dang! Wheres the updates on the releases of these knives!!! Had the 0770cf on pre order for like two months now. Hope this isn't another triple 7 case

Yep. I think ZT needs to get into the small/sleek market. Since Kershaw is making everything overseas now there is a lack of high-end <3.25in EDC friendly knives coming from KAI. I've never been a fan of "overbuilt" knives. The 801 looks nice too.

I just hope ZT is working on improving their process of ELMAX. It's so similar to m390 you'd think it would perform the same. I've never been impressed by it on my 560, so I sold it.

Not really sure about this. Don't feel that's where "the" category is at today. I like the genre, and we've explained our line-up and design philosophy in the past. We'll have to see..

Sorry you weren't happy with it. We're dialed in and feel good about ELMAX. Sweet stuff to be sure.

I have a sh%t load of ZT and high end Kershaws, and I've never been able to come up with any that have lacked in terms of quality, fit and finish, etc... You ALWAYS get more than you pay for with KAI.

Thanks KAI for weighing in. Elmax is great to be sure; but what you do with m390 is superlative. I have many knives in s110v, s90v, 3v, Z-wear, cts 20cp 204p, 20cv, blah blah blah, but what you have done with m390...you have made high quality knives with excellent steel....accessible to the masses for a price that anyone who is seriously INTO quality knives can afford. And I am thrilled about what is coming down the pike...especially with the 0562cfm390..

Thank you...

Thank you for producing quality knives that cater to everyone; from the lower end production affordable knives to the HIGH END limited editions that make even the most 'cultured' or hard core of knife enthusiasts quiver in his boots and melt into the winter snow. You just keep on nailing it. With great steel and excellent craftsmanship.

KAI for president!!! ZT for a lover...:p

I do agreed that ZT made some of the best value high-end production knife, really impressive design/f&f on the newer model.
I do hope that they have been fixed their Elmax issue though.

fixed their Elmax issue though.
There will always be random issues with regard to HT with any company that produces the volume like we do. To take random issues and try to make them sound like a epidemic is a bit reckless. As I've said in the past, think bigger. We're getting a bit off topic though aren't we, sorry for the drift.

As for the new products, we've really had a tremendous response on them, and trust they will be valuable future tools for those that use them.

Hi Thomas! :D

All kidding aside, I've been very happy with my ZT's. Some have had issues, but right now I have a 0550 and a 0777 as well as a 0562cf on pre-order.

I'm looking forward to the 0620's, Elmax or M390. And as for any Elmax issues, I've been carrying the 0801 since it was released and have had zero complaints. KAI has hit it out of the park with this combination of Emerson features and ZT QC.

You may be right. But there's only one way to find out. Release the 0770CF and let's see what happens. :)

PS: I'd urge you not to use sales of the 0770 to project sales of the 0770CF. For some of us who actually purchase most of our knives in "the" category that isn't where it's at today, the 0770 and the 0770CF are completely different knives.

I really wish ZT would make a KVT flipper with an exact 3" blade, titanium framelock, titanium handles and M390 blade! Like a souped-up Kershaw Nura 3.0!

I don't feel you can just take one pattern, put it out in different flavors, and then have real expectations about any category. As we've said on many occasions ZT was spawned for an overbuilt chassis. We did not feel overall success was to be had by limiting ourselves to said chassis. We opted to keep size and start to eliminate the weight in a some models. We liked them very much, and feel the reception to the change was strong. I feel there will be a place for lighter, smaller edc's in the ZT line-up. As we've said, diversity is a road we want to travel, and feel it is best for ZT and it's future.

I am very happy with ZT Elmax, so much so that I will pass on S35Vn models all together. Want to try their M390.

My 560 took three heavy sharpening before it would hold an edge. Now it's perfect. My 801 was good out of the box and is holding 30 degrees inclusive nicely. So I'm confident that they have gotten the process dialed in.

Make that a 3.5 inch blade and we're set.

I'm pretty excited about the 0562cf I have on preorder so I'm good. I got a new knife in yesterday so I will be good for a while.

Already done. 801cf
The 3.5" range is well taken care of. Its the smaller 3.25" and under that is lacking options.
I'm very excited for the 566 and 770cf because they provide a much better variety in the 3.25" class.
